When our heart chakra is open, we find it natural to give and receive, to reach out and draw in. Our arms and hands are an extension of our heart chakra, they are like wings that extend from the middle of our spine. This exercise called “growing wings” will start to awaken your heart energy …

Stand with your feet firmly on the ground, have your knees soft, and body relaxed.

Bring your awareness to the center of your upper back, between your shoulder blades, and breathe deeply into this space.

Imagine you have wings that are growing from this space in your back and as you breathe deeply they are unfurling. Make circles with your shoulder blades, releasing any tension. Keep breathing deeply.

Keep making circles and now use your arms as well, stretching them out like wings.

Have the intention of using your wings to give and receive love as move through your day.
