I’m so excited and honored to share some very special news with our Wimberley community.

My husband, Chas Humphrey, and I have officially purchased Wimberley Medical Clinic, a place that has been such a meaningful part of my life for the past 16 years.

For me, this isn’t simply a business; it’s a commitment to the patients, families, and community that I have had the privilege of caring for over the years. I am deeply committed to continuing the tradition of compassionate, personalized care that Wimberley Medical Clinic has provided for more than 30 years.

While there are some exciting changes ahead, one thing will remain the same: our commitment to our patients and to continuity of care.

I am incredibly grateful to continue working alongside Cassandra Jackson, NP, and we are also very excited to welcome Scott Coltharp, PA-C, back to Wimberley! Scott is currently onboarding with our office and will soon have an open schedule to begin seeing patients. We are thrilled to have him back in our community and look forward to him becoming an important part of our team.

Together, our providers are here to care for you and your family with services including family medicine, preventive care, annual physicals and Medicare wellness visits, chronic disease management, hormone replacement therapy, same-day sick visits, and weight-management services.

When specialty care is needed, our providers will also coordinate referrals to trusted specialists to make sure our patients receive the appropriate care.

Our goal is simple: to provide accessible, compassionate, personalized healthcare while maintaining continuity of care for the patients and families who have trusted Wimberley Medical Clinic for generations.

Thank you to all of our patients for trusting us with your care and for allowing me to be part of your lives for the past 16 years. We are incredibly excited about this next chapter and look forward to continuing to serve the Wimberley community for many years to come.

As I begin this next chapter, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you.

Thank you for your devotion, your faithfulness, and most of all, for the trust you placed in me to be your doctor. It has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life to care for you and your families over the years.

Being your physician has meant so much more to me than simply practicing medicine. You welcomed me into your lives, shared your stories with me, trusted me during some of your most difficult moments, and allowed me to celebrate the good ones with you. I will always be grateful for that privilege.

This may be goodbye for now, but I don’t like to think of it as goodbye forever.

IMPORTANT PRACTICE UPDATE

June 12, 2026

We are writing to inform you that Dr. Juan Ivan Ramirez will be retiring from clinical practice, with his final day seeing patients at Wimberley Medical Clinic on August 12, 2026.

Dr. Ramirez has dedicated many years to caring for patients in our community, and we are incredibly grateful for his compassion, commitment, and service. While we will certainly miss Dr. Ramirez and the exceptional care he has provided, we wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.

We want to reassure our patients that Wimberley Medical Clinic will remain open and fully operational. Our team will continue to provide comprehensive primary care services, including the management of both acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions. We remain committed to delivering the high-quality, patient-centered care that you have come to expect from our practice.

Although this marks the end of an important chapter in our clinic's history, we are excited about the future. We look forward to sharing additional information with you in the coming weeks and introducing the new provider who will be joining our team. We are confident that our patients will continue to receive excellent care and personalized attention.

Medical Records
Wimberley Medical Clinic will remain the custodian of your medical records following Dr. Ramirez's retirement. Patients who choose to continue their care with our practice do not need to take any action. If you choose to transfer your care to another healthcare provider, we will gladly provide copies of your medical records or facilitate a records transfer upon receipt of a signed authorization.

Join us for this exciting event hosted by The Med Spa Wimberley. Melodye will be discussing GLP-1 and dual-incretin medications, including semaglutide and tirzepatide, and comprehensive medical weight loss options. She’ll explain how these medications work to regulate appetite, blood sugar, and metabolism; who may be a good candidate; expected results; potential side effects; and the importance of medication.
