At Valley Health, we love to highlight family members who work together and who share their passion for patient care. But family can mean a lot of things, and sometimes it means your best friend. We talk with Ashlee R., office coordinator at Home Health, and Ashley A., charge nurse in the Medical Innovations Unit (MIU), about what they enjoy about working together at Valley Health.

At Valley Health, we love to highlight members who work together and who share their passion for patient care. Meet Ashley and Ashlee.

Congratulations to the Vascular Care Team at Wi******er Medical Center for receiving three stars (the highest score possible) from the Society for Vascular Surgery’s Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) for the nineth consecutive year. This year, the team also was awarded the Larry Kraiss Award, honoring institutions that earn three-star scores for at least eight consecutive years. Wi******er Medical Center is one of only 13 hospitals nationwide to earn the additional honor, joining the ranks of Yale New Haven Hospital and Cleveland Clinic.

“Participating in this program supports our commitment to provide the best quality practices and standard of care for treating vascular diseases,” says vascular surgeon Shashank Sharma, MD, RPVI. “Participation requires a commitment to quality improvement and patient engagement from a team of vascular surgeons, vascular physician assistants, database abstractors, office staff, nursing, and hospital administrators, who all contribute greatly to the effort. We are proud to be recognized for our team’s hard work.”
