World Sexual Health Day (WSHD) is the annual global initiative of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS). Each September 4, health professionals, advocates, educators, researchers, and communities around the world come together around a shared theme.

For 2026, that theme is Every Body.

Bodies are personal, relational and political. We live, express and experience through them — asking, choosing, refusing, desiring. That begins with ourselves. It continues in our relationships, in the education and services we can reach, and in the culture, faith, technology and law that decide whose sexuality is protected.

Today, August 31st, is International Overdose Awareness Day.

Today, we honor those we lost to overdose. The mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, friends and siblings. Each life lost was a human, not a number.
Also today, we continue to drive our dedication to prevent overdose. Narcan saves lives, harm reduction saves lives, love saves lives 💜

For our monthly staff bonding event, we got to spend some time with our friends at Carrion Apotheca for what we referred to as Teas and Cheese! We learned so much with our guided tour of tea and pairings with crackers and cheese. It was an awesome event and we had a blast. We also felt super fancy drinking out of these beautiful tea cups.

Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day - August 20

? In 2022, the South accounted for 52% of all new HIV diagnoses, despite making up only 38% of the U.S. population. This stark disparity highlights how the region—particularly the “Deep South”—continues to face unique challenges in addressing HIV. These challenges include lower access to prevention tools like PrEP, barriers to healthcare, and systemic inequities that drive the epidemic.

This , we’re raising awareness about the urgent need for expanded testing, prevention, and treatment services to ensure every community has the resources to end HIV.

We are here doing FREE HIV/STI testing, and our CHR program is on site as well for any harm reduction needs. Grab a passport when you come, visit all the tables, and get you some fresh fruits and veggies from the farmers market stand. We’re here until 2pm!

Community, we need your help! Our unsheltered friends have been asking specifically for electrolytes packets for water. Our grant does not cover these. We could use your help in keeping our outside friends hydrated. Many of them have other health concerns and this heat is not helping them. If you're able to purchase some electrolytes packs from our CHR wish list, it would mean so much to us and them! Thank you for always being a community that pulls through for those who need you most.
