The holiday season is a time for gratitude, fellowship, and togetherness. But for many of our Basic Military Training trainees, it means spending the holidays away from home. That's where YOU come in! ❤️

The 737th Training Group is looking for approximately 400 volunteer host families to participate in their annual Operation Home Cooking!

This longstanding tradition gives our trainees in their 6th week of training the opportunity to enjoy a home-cooked meal, experience some San Antonio hospitality, and connect with members of our community. BMT graduates in the 7th week of training are also eligible to participate if they do not have attendees present for graduation events.

🏡 WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?
🍁 Families living within 1 hour of the San Antonio metro area
🍁 Hosts willing to welcome 2-4 trainees into their homes (Wingman Concept)
🍁 Families able to provide transportation to & from Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland

📍 PICK-UP & DROP-OFF: Pfingston Reception Center, JBSA-Lackland
⏰ Pick-up: 7:30–9:30 a.m.
⏰ Return: 6 or 7 p.m., depending on the trainee's training requirements

Volunteer registration is open Nov. 1–19! Scan the QR code to submit your request.

⚠️ Space is limited, and volunteer slots fill quickly! Due to scheduling requirements, families cannot request specific trainees.

🎉 Happy Boss’s Day! 🎉

Today, we had the pleasure of celebrating Mr. Lee! We were definitely missing Ms. Letty, but don’t worry, we’ll be celebrating her on Monday! ❤️

Today we're celebrating an extraordinary caregiver whose heart for serving others shines in everything she does—Ms. Leslie Shannon! 💙

After experiencing the compassionate care her father received during hospice, Leslie felt called to return to home care as a way to honor his memory and continue his legacy through service. That calling is evident in the kindness, dignity, and compassion she brings to every client she cares for.

Beyond caregiving, Leslie is a devoted single mom to three incredible children, an insurance professional, a small business owner creating handcrafted candles, and a dedicated volunteer serving children through her church's KidTown ministry. She truly embodies what it means to lead with faith, hard work, and a servant's heart.

Today we're celebrating an incredible caregiver, an inspiring athlete, and an amazing woman—Ms. LaQuinta! 💙

For 15 years, Ms. LaQuinta has dedicated her career to providing compassionate home health care, bringing comfort, dignity, and genuine smiles to every client she serves. Her passion for helping others shines through in everything she does, making a lasting difference in the lives of the families entrusted to her care.

When she's not caring for clients, you'll find her cheering on her children at their sporting events, cooking delicious family meals, or accomplishing incredible fitness goals. Over the past three years, she has developed a passion for marathon running and weightlifting, earning more than 20 medals and ranking among the Top 50 strongest women in her age group. Her determination, resilience, and discipline are just as inspiring as her caring heart.

As she celebrates 44 years, we're grateful for the strength, compassion, and positivity she brings to our team and our clients each day.
