It's not as simple as a bone being “out of place.”
More often, chiropractors use this phrase to describe joints that aren't moving as well as they should. When a joint becomes stiff or restricted, the muscles around it often tighten up to protect the area. Over time, that can affect how you move and contribute to discomfort.
Your body is incredibly good at adapting, but sometimes those adaptations aren't the most efficient.
That's why a chiropractic assessment looks at how your joints move, how your muscles are working together, and how your body functions as a whole, rather than assuming something is simply "out."
The goal isn't to force bones back into place. It's to help restore healthy movement so your body can move more comfortably and efficiently.
Movement matters, and sometimes even small improvements can make a big difference in how you feel.
