The Auxiliary has donated a phone charging station to the hospital. Our Auxiliary President, Judy Jewers, recognized a need for this service, and our Auxiliary Board didn't hesitate to approve the purchase.

This is just another way our volunteers help provide the best possible experience and hospitality for our patients and their families. The charging station is located in the hospital lobby and includes eight phone chargers. Patients and their families can use the charging station as needed.

We're having a throwback "Tuesday" moment! 10 years ago our volunteers donated over 11,500 hours and when we celebrated our 2025 hours this year, they totaled over 13,000! Our volunteers are the best and give so much to our hospital.

If you're interested in donating a few hours of your time each week with an amazing group of men and women, contact Brittney Shaffer, Director or Volunteer Services at William Newton Hospital. She would love to meet you and talk about some fun opportunities.

Happy National Volunteer Week! We have the most amazing volunteers here at William Newton Hospital. Chances are if you've been to WNH you have interacted with a few of them.

Our volunteers drive our Care Cab, grill and run the register in our Snack Bar, assist patients with wheelchairs, deliver our internal mail, help patients in our lobby, pavilion, surgery waiting and more!

Not only do we have in-house volunteers but we have many that help with fundraisers. Some of our biggest fundraisers include: BASS N' DASH, Golf Scramble, and our Holiday Market.

Each year our volunteer department raises enough to give back around $50,000.

If you see a volunteer this week, stop and thank them. We appreciate them so much!
