Counseling Center of the North Shore The Counseling Center of the North Shore is a nonprofit mental health and wellness center located in Winnetka's Hubbard Woods district.

CCNS accepts Medicare and is an in-network provider for many insurance plans. For self-pay clients, fees are based on a sliding scale determined by household income and the number of dependent family members.

🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🌈 At CCNS, Pride is a time to celebrate authenticity, community, resilience, and the importance of mental health support for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families.

Join us for a free Pride event on Wednesday, June 17 at 4 pm featuring live readings, discussion, and community celebration inspired by Trans History: From Ancient Times to Present Day.

Together, we’ll explore the rich history of trans communities while creating a welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ youth, young adults, and their families.

We’re also inviting youth ages 10–20 to participate by sharing a short reading, original poem, creative writing piece, or artwork.

This month is a reminder of how important it is to talk about mental health, reduce stigma, and support access to care that is compassionate, consistent, and life-changing.

Our gala was created from the belief that when people have access to high-quality mental health support, they are able to truly heal, grow, and bloom into their fullest selves. And when individuals are supported in that way, it doesn’t just change one life, it strengthens entire communities, creating more connection, warmth, and understanding for everyone.
