My husband Jeff, three daughters and I moved to Petersburg, Pike County, Indiana in August 2015. Jeff and I are apostolic leaders of Freedom & Fire Church in Winslow, Indiana, where my counseling office is as well. For 15 years, I was a high school guidance counselor. However, God had been working on my heart to not only counsel with the Bible in hand but also teach people how to read God’s Word a

nd apply it to their lives. I returned to school and now hold the following certifications:

*PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling
*Temperament Therapist
*Commissioned Minister in the area of Counseling
*National Christian Counseling Association (NCCA) Membership
*Apostolic Leader
*Deliverance Training Certification

Before working with any client, I administer the Arno-Profile System, which is based on how God created us to be in Psalm 139. The world influences us and we put on a mask, our personality. The APS shows me an individual’s strengths and needs. When these needs are not fulfilled, we turn to our weakness or our sin of choice. Working with this system but more importantly bringing in God’s Word and Holy Spirit direction allows individuals to see the “why” of their behaviors. I have been constantly amazed at how God is using me in this journey. I get to see miracles! My counseling services are private pay; however, clients may send their invoices to their insurance company for reimbursement.

What temperament are you?
Choleric - leader, impulsive, no fear, high energy
Melancholy - thinker, teacher, introvert
Phlegmatic - discerner, watcher, low energy
Sanguine - high energy, outgoing, lots of friends, loves people
Supine - servant, gives, loves being around people but quiet.

Did you know that most people are a different temperament in social situation than they are in close relationships? Did you know that when our needs are not met, we turn to our sin nature which appears to meet those needs. It is amazing to me when I assess people as light bulbs of revelation go on as to whom God created them to be! It is amazing!

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment to receive your Arno Profile System (APS) results, counseling or to enroll in our counseling program, please call/text 618.562.8380 or email [email protected]

Have an amazing day!

Dan Blacksher spent many years in business before transitioning into full-time ministry in 2008.

Since then, he has served at Hope Fellowship Church in Brandon, Mississippi, where he has dedicated his life to helping people experience freedom in Christ through the renewing of their
minds. With more than 20 years of counseling experience, Dan is passionate about seeing individuals discover the truth of who God is and break free from false beliefs about the Father, Jesus, the Holy
Spirit, themselves, and their past. His ministry focuses on helping people walk in healing, wholeness, and their God-given purpose.

To support this journey of transformation, Dan has authored two devotional books: "40 Days to Renewal: A Journey into God's Purpose for Your Life" and "30 Days to Emotional Stability and
Healing: A Devotional Journey into Wholeness." These resources are designed to help readers experience lasting freedom, healing, and spiritual growth.

In addition to his ministry and writing, Dan helps train counselors through Psalm 139 Counseling Services, equipping them with the biblical wisdom, practical insight, and counseling principles he
has gained through more than two decades of serving people in both ministry and business settings.

Nicole M. Turbinton, JD is a human rights attorney who works for Altus Solutions, Inc. as their In-House Counsel. Prior to working for Altus Solutions, Nicole served as a civil law litigator working all throughout the state of Tennessee on creditors’ rights cases. Before then, she was a solo practitioner working as a Guardian ad Litem and Parent Attorney in Knoxville, Tennessee where she passionately advocated for the best interests of children and the rights of parents. Nicole has always had a heart for at risk populations and believes that grace costs us nothing. Nicole graduated from Southwestern University with her B.A. in Political Science and Cum Laude with her Juris Doctorate from Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law.

For Psalm 139 Counseling Services, Nicole teaches Christian Counseling: Ethics, Legal Boundaries, and the Difference Between Business and Ministry, a training built for Christian counselors who want to serve well without stepping outside their legal and ethical bounds. Drawing on her legal background, she walks participants through the practical realities of building a counseling practice or ministry — from choosing the right business structure (LLC, PLLC, or PC) to understanding confidentiality, informed consent, duty to report, and liability — while grounding it all in the ethical standards that guide the field (ACA, AACC, and NCCA). Through real case studies, she helps counselors clearly understand the difference between operating as a business and operating as a ministry, so they can serve their clients with both integrity and legal confidence.

Hi I'm Dr. Katie Astrike.

I teach the faith and healing classes for Psalm 139 Counseling Services. I have training in both traditional western medicine and divine healing and bring those together in the healing class I teach. The faith class I teach is a combination of the "greats" of faith and their teaching on the subject. I feel passionate to help people grow, and meet them where they are on their journey!
