I want this space, and your experience within it, to feel different.

That is intentional.

I firmly believe, and have witnessed firsthand over the past two years of owning and operating a small boutique aesthetic medicine practice, the transformative power of this work.

It is not just surface-level vanity. I have watched countless patients evolve over time, reclaim a version of themselves they thought was lost, and reenter their lives with renewed confidence, energy, and excitement for the future.

As a military spouse and mother of two, I was patient zero. I woke up in my 40s after multiple cross-country relocations, birthing and raising babies away from family, trying to hold onto my professional identity, and then COVID hit. Coming out of that as a front-line provider, to say I needed a change of pace was an understatement.

I did not recognize myself when I looked in the mirror. It was not just the way I looked. It was my spirit, too.

So I decided to take a step back and get clear on what I wanted. I start investing in myself, and, eventually, was ready to go back to medicine to invest in my patients, the way I had always wanted to.

That is what I am proud to say I have built, and continue to build today - thanks to your support!

If you want to experience a different level of care — direct access to me, natural results, and a practice built without crowded waiting rooms, rushed appointments, rotating providers, or double-booked schedules — I invite you to schedule a consult.

Let’s begin.

Get ready to demystify peptides with me...

“Peptide” is one of the biggest buzzwords in skincare right now — and it’s important to know the word alone tells you next to nothing about what you’re actually purchasing.

Skincare brands are using this buzzword to charge a premium, and some of those products don’t deliver on what they promise.

Here’s what you really need to know: peptides are short chains of amino acids, the building blocks of protein.

Think of them as text messages sent directly to your cells, telling them to turn certain processes up or down.

The message just depends on the peptide — which is why it’s so important to understand WHAT the peptide is and WHAT it’s telling your skin to do.

Some great examples include:
→ GHK-Cu: “boost collagen production”
→ Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate: “block muscle contraction”
→ Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17: “build stronger, healthier lashes”

I’ll be breaking down some of my favorite peptides, how they work, and the skincare products where you can find them...

Follow along so you don’t miss it!

There’s a reason I say if you have skin, you should be microneedling ... it’s because there isn’t a skin concern that microneedling can’t address in appropriately trained hands.

Whether you struggle with fine lines / wrinkles, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, dull texture, acne scarring, or skin laxity — microneedling can address it all, with minimal downtime, all year round.

As routines settle back into place this fall, now is the time to get in for a series of 3 to 6 treatments ahead of the holiday season, when pictures and gatherings peak.

Already completed a series and on maintenance?
This is also a great time for your next treatment (ideally 2-3 annually).

I now also offer a brightening protocol that combines microneedling, chemical peels, and a compounded prescription hydroquinone cream to lift summer pigment — particularly effective for patients with melasma.

Enhance your results further with customized in-office stackables, including serums for firmness, brightening, and rosacea; peel pads to turn over pigment; hydrating and amplifying post-treatment masks; and PDGF to amplify anti-aging results with added collagen and elastin support.

New patients?
Book a consult via the link in my bio to get established, talk through your concerns / goals, and map out a treatment plan.

If you’ve been told “your labs are normal” but you still feel like something is off, and you’re a woman in her 30s … keep reading ⬇️

Your brain is constantly receiving signals from the rest of your body. When estrogen and progesterone begin fluctuating during perimenopause, your brain is often one of the first places you notice it.

We were taught the “classic” signs of the menopausal transition were irregular periods and hot flashes.

What we actually see first are mood changes, anxiety, sleep disruption, brain fog, fatigue, low energy, abdominal weight gain, reduced libido, and difficulty concentrating are more common in early perimenopause, often appearing years before any cycle or hot flash changes.

Here’s the challenge: there isn’t a single blood test that diagnoses perimenopause. Diagnosis is based on age, history, symptoms, and clinical evaluation, not labs alone.

Too often, women are treated symptom by symptom: an antidepressant for mood, a sleep medication for insomnia, a stimulant for brain fog, a separate plan for weight gain.

And, this is sometimes appropriate, but it doesn’t always address the hormonal imbalance driving the process.

I’m a proponent of a functional lens. Strength training, nutrition, stress management, and good sleep remain the foundation of healthy aging. But for some women, lifestyle alone isn’t enough. Hormone therapy may also be appropriate after weighing the benefits, risks, and your history.

The right treatment doesn’t happen in a rushed 15-minute visit. It takes listening, education, and thoughtful adjustments along the way.

In North Carolina and curious about bioidentical hormone therapy?
Complete the intake form in my bio. If you’re a candidate, I’ll reach out to schedule a consultation.

Outside North Carolina?
Don’t stop advocating for yourself. If dismissed, a second opinion from a menopause-informed clinician can make all the difference.

You deserve to feel heard, and you deserve care that reflects the most up-to-date clinical enidence.

Use code “BA160” for $160 off the JOVS 4D Laser Light Therapy Mask.

This isn’t your typical at-home LED mask - it’s the world’s 1st + only FDA-cleared at-home laser therapy mask.

Here’s what makes the JOVS 4D Laser Mask superior:

It’s POWERFUL:
▪︎It delivers 143 mW/cm² of light energy, about SIX TIMES more than a typical LED mask, which usually runs 30 to 60. That extra power is what lets it reach deeper into the skin instead of sitting on the surface.
▪︎It’s one of the first at-home devices to use a 1064 nanometer wavelength, which goes deeper than standard LED light.
▪︎In the brand’s reported testing, users saw improvement in wrinkles, firmness, tone, texture, and redness, many within the first one to two weeks of consistent use.

Yet GENTLE:
▪︎It’s non-heating and generally well tolerated on sensitive and pigment-prone skin.
▪︎Because the energy doesn’t reach the fat layer, it isn’t associated with the volume loss some heat-based treatments can carry.

It’s TARGETED:
▪︎Four wavelengths (660, 850, 940, and 1064 nanometers) target different zones and concerns: tone and dark circles, forehead lines, redness and uneven texture, and deeper expression lines.
▪︎The beam is angled at just 18 to 20 degrees, about a seventh the width of a typical LED panel, so the light concentrates instead of scattering.
▪︎FDA-cleared for improving the appearance of full-face wrinkles.

It’s COMFORTABLE:
▪︎Lightweight, curved fit, easy to wear while you’re doing something else entirely.

If you’ve been on the hunt for an at-home mask to help you age gracefully, this is the one I’d point you toward.

Don’t forget to apply code “BA160” to your purchase for an additional $160 off! Link in bio.
