As we mourn the loss of our dear Dolly this week, we want to express our gratitude for having her as a model for what we all can be. A fierce supporter of the least of these, Dolly was a voice for marginalized communities, stated that love is love, and supported Black communities in word and deed. Her love for literacy and the belief that every child should have access to books heavily influenced our book giveaways. We are thankful for the opportunity to have signed up so many of our families for her renowned Imagination Library. May we all be like Dolly and seek to be better and lead better. Do more than remember her-- honor her. And if you find yourself in a dilemma, maybe ask, what would Dolly do? ♥️
