Redding Rancheria Tribal Health System has secured $80 million in financing from KeyBank to help build its planned $230 million Tribal Health Village in northern California, Tribal Business News reports.

The project includes a major outpatient clinic, wellness center and expanded healthcare capacity expected to serve more than 22,000 patients when the campus opens in 2027.

But this also reflects a broader shift in Indian Country finance.

More tribes are moving beyond casino-backed development into large-scale healthcare, housing and infrastructure projects supported by operating revenues and institutional financing.

KeyBanc Capital Markets said the deal was only the second financing completed by its Native American Financial Services team backed solely by healthcare revenues.

Worth sharing for anyone tracking tribal healthcare and infrastructure investment.
