There comes a point in life when everything finally gets quiet.
The crisis has passed.
The children are grown.
The divorce is final.
The career changes.
The caregiving season slows.
The grief softens.
And suddenly you're left with a different question.
Not..."What do I need to do to survive?"
But..."Who am I now?"
Sometimes we spend so many years becoming what life required that we never stop to ask who we are when we're not in survival mode.
This is one of the questions I've been reflecting on lately.
Who are you when you don't have to survive anymore?
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
