🎉 Wrapping up an amazing Assisted Living Week at The Lodge of Winthrop! 🎉

Unfortunately, the weather didn’t quite cooperate with our plans for an ice cream truck 🍦, but we were thankful we could reschedule and make the most of today!

We enjoyed some fun trivia, chocolate, and hot cocoa loaded with LOTS of marshmallows! ☕️🍫 Plenty of smiles, laughs, and good times to wrap up an incredible week!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing staff for always being willing to change plans, roll with it, and make each day special for our residents. ❤️ You truly make the difference!

What a wonderful week of celebrating our residents, our team, and all the fun we share together! 🥰

🍷 Day 4 of Assisted Living Week at The Lodge of Winthrop! ❤️

Our team ROCKS at making this week extra special for our residents! Today was packed with fun, food, and a whole lot of blessings. 🥰

We started with a potluck cookout filled with tons of yummy food and great fellowship. Then this afternoon, our residents enjoyed a fun w**e tasting featuring w**es all the way from Tennessee—including Toasted Butter Pecan and even Cotton Candy! 🍷🍭

And to top it all off, our little friends stopped by to sing songs for us. 🎶❤️

So many smiles, so many memories, and so many blessings! We sure love celebrating Assisted Living Week at The Lodge of Winthrop! 🏡❤️

And once again, a BIG shout-out to our amazing team for making it all happen! 👏

The duck hunt is on! 🦆

On this National Assisted Living Week, Good Samaritan Society - Pipestone is making sure residents have plenty of opportunities for fun. “Just having opportunities for them to enjoy each and every day, even if it’s a normal day, just to be special and have a lot of laugh and enjoy our time together,” said Melissa McCorquodale, senior living administrator at Good Samaritan Society – Ridge View Estates in Pipestone.

Amazing creative pieces and a buzz of excitement filled Good Samaritan Society - Heritage Place of Roseville in Roseville, Minnesota, during a week-long art fair.

About 25 residents participated and displayed around 50 pieces of artwork, including fabric art, quilts, yarn art, needlepoint, stitching, photography, paintings, drawings, paper mache and diamond art.

“The art fair became bigger than we expected, but that’s what I was hoping for,” says Kristine Davis, senior living manager.

🔥🍫 Day Three of Assisted Living Week! 🍫🔥

Living life to the fullest is what we LOVE to do at The Lodge of Winthrop! ❤️ And today, that meant hosting an EPIC s’mores bar! 😋

We had ALL the toppings—Hershey’s, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, white chocolate, cookies, fudge-striped cookies, and of course… MARSHMALLOWS! ☁️🍪🍫

Because you’re never too old for a little sweetness, a lot of laughter, and another fun adventure at The Lodge! ❤️🔥

🌈 A day late, but definitely worth the wait! 🌈

Yesterday our residents had a tie-dye adventure and we just had to share the finished results! 🎨💜💙💛

They had so much fun creating, laughing, and enjoying another fun adventure together. We absolutely LOVE seeing our residents try new things and make memories along the way! ❤️

This summer, Good Samaritan Society - Jackson The Pines started a walking group that has quickly become one of the most anticipated activities of the week with residents gathering in excitement nearly 30 minutes before departure. Community members have also begun joining the walks, frequently sharing how much joy it brings them to see our residents active, engaged and enjoying time outdoors.

One resident, Gayle Titus, age 103, has been especially impacted by the program. Gayle shared that she had not left the building in more than two years prior to joining the walking group. While she doesn't walk well, being able to comfortably join the group in her wheelchair to enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and time outdoors has greatly brightened her days. The opportunity to leave the building, connect with others, and experience the community again has been meaningful to her. In fact, she has even rescheduled medical appointments at the attached hospital so she would not miss her weekly walk.

The walking group has become so much more than an exercise program. It has created opportunities for socialization, connection, and meaningful experiences that enhance quality of life for our residents while fostering stronger ties within the community. 💙

Our residents enjoyed w**e, painting, lots of laughs, and some AMAZING crackers & cheese to enjoy along the way. 🧀🍷

And a BIG shout-out to our incredible staff! ❤️ This week is about celebrating YOU, too! Thank you for showing up, bringing the fun, and making a difference for our residents every single day—even on the tough days. We appreciate each and every one of you! 🥰
