Considering laser vision correction but concerned about dry eyes or other conditions? Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) might be the answer!
Unlike LASIK, PRK reshapes your cornea directly on the surface, skipping the creation of a corneal flap, which offers some advantages:
- PRK avoids disrupting nerves that contribute to tear production, minimizing dry eye concerns compared to LASIK.
- PRK preserves precious corneal tissue, making it a safer option for those with thinner corneas.
- The lack of a flap reduces the risk of dislodgement during sports compared to LASIK.
Book a consultation today and discover how PRK can pave the way to clearer vision while accommodating your unique eye health needs.
