WCYB did wonderful coverage of our Davey’s Back to School Shuffle!
God is so good and thanks to our community churches and friends it was a great success!
Thanks especially to Wise County Sheriffs Department for taking excellent care of our community and our children!!
Deputies Justin Bevins, Cody Hall and Deputy Walsh were excellent with the children and families ensuring that during this large event we all had that protection!

Esserville church served over 500 hotdogs and gave out bottled water to children and families last night at Daveys back to school dance shuffle!!
This made our heart so happy! We could not have done this and we could not have all these people without you all and the Many churches that came together!!
For all of our attendees, if you don’t have a place to attend CHURCH, we had several churches there last night who would gladly welcome you! Esserville community CHURCH is one of the best !

What an incredible day at Davey’s Back-to-School Shuffle! ❤️

We are overwhelmed with gratitude as we celebrate serving over 2500 children and families through this amazing community ministry. Every backpack, every meal, every bicycle, every smile, and every act of kindness made a difference.

A very special thank you to Esserville Church, whose dedicated volunteers lovingly grilled 500 hot dogs for the crowds. They worked tirelessly throughout the event, preparing fresh food, serving children and families, and making sure everyone had water on a hot day.

As Scripture reminds us:
“And whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in My name… will certainly not lose their reward.” — Matthew 10:42

We are so thankful for all of our community churches that came together to serve with such generous hearts. Your love in action reflects the hands and feet of Christ and reminds us what can happen when a community unites to care for its children.

Together, we are building hope, one child and one family at a time. Thank you to every volunteer, donor, sponsor, and supporter who made this day possible. We couldn’t do it without you!
