Our clinical lead Brett is here to show how the DBT STOP skill can help in moments of overwhelm, stress, and emotional reactivity. In difficult moments, our first impulse is often to react immediately… but the STOP skill teaches us to pause, take a step back, observe what’s happening internally and externally, and respond more mindfully. Creating even a few seconds of space can make a huge difference in how we communicate, cope, and move through challenging emotions.

It was a such a bittersweet celebration for our clinical interns last Friday! They brought so much dedication, compassion, and energy to our team.
