🏆 Celebrating Excellence in Trauma Care!
We’re incredibly proud to celebrate our own Trauma Coordinator, Tacy, who has received the Excellence in Trauma Care Award from the State Trauma Program! ❤️ Only two of these awards are given across the entire state of Montana, making this an incredible honor.
Tacy has been part of the NEMHS family for 27 years, and her dedication to caring for patients and supporting her fellow healthcare workers continues every day. Even as Trauma Coordinator, she still helps out on the floor, and one of the things she values most is teaching and sharing her knowledge with others. Her experience, passion, and commitment to trauma care have made a lasting impact on our team and our community.
👏 Congratulations, Tacy! We’re so proud of you and grateful for everything you bring to NEMHS!

Sometimes, the people we care about may be struggling in ways we can’t see. A change in mood, pulling away from friends and family, losing interest in things they once enjoyed, or simply seeming “not like themselves” can be signs that someone may need a little extra support.
Pay attention. Check in. Listen. Be there. You don’t need all the right words or to know how to fix everything. Sometimes, simply saying “I’ve noticed you haven’t seemed like yourself lately. How are you doing?” can open the door to an important conversation. 🫶
If you’re concerned about someone, don’t be afraid to ask how they’re really doing and help connect them with support. Reaching out could make a difference, and you never know how much someone may need to know they’re not alone.

💛 Notice the changes. Start the conversation. Be the connection.
If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

🧠 National Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Awareness Day
Today, we raise awareness about FASD and the lifelong effects that alcohol exposure during pregnancy can have on a developing baby. FASD is preventable, and there is no known safe amount or safe time to drink alcohol during pregnancy.
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or have questions about alcohol use during pregnancy, talk with your healthcare provider. Support, education, and compassionate care can make a difference. 💙
Let’s work together to spread awareness, reduce stigma, and support healthy pregnancies and families in our communities.

Not sure where to go when you’re feeling sick or injured? Choosing the right level of care can save you time and help make sure you get the care you need. Primary Care is a great choice for things like colds and flu, fevers, sore throats, rashes, minor burns, stomachaches, and ongoing health concerns. For serious or life-threatening symptoms, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe injuries, seizures, stroke symptoms, or uncontrolled bleeding, the ER is the right place to go. 💙 Honoring Joyce Sethre Lawrence
The 100 Club and Faith Lutheran Home would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the family and siblings of Joyce Sethre Lawrence for their generous memorial gift in her honor.
Their thoughtful gift was chosen as a meaningful way to give back to the community Joyce called home. Because of their generosity, residents in our Memory Unit now have a new Penner walk-in whirlpool bathing tub, designed with a low-entry door, built-in seating, and supportive handrails to make bathing safer, more comfortable, and more accessible. The therapeutic whirlpool also provides a relaxing experience that supports our residents' comfort and well-being. 🛁💙
We are so grateful for this beautiful way to honor Joyce’s memory, and for the lasting difference it will make for the residents of Faith Lutheran Home.
Thank you to Joyce’s family for turning her memory into a gift that continues to care for others in the community she loved.

Falls can happen to anyone, but knowing your risk is an important first step in preventing them. 🏡🦶 Take a look at our checklist and see how many risk factors apply to you or a loved one. If you check several boxes, it may be time to talk with your healthcare provider about ways to reduce your risk. A little prevention can go a long way toward keeping you safe, steady, and independent!

With conditions being especially dry, please use extra caution with campfires, grills, and other sources of heat. Never leave a fire unattended, keep water nearby, and make sure your fire is completely out and cold before leaving your campsite. 🔥💧
