This week, we invite you to meet Jeanet Brown, scheduler, who is an integral part of our team!

With over 20 years of experience as a CNA and 5 years with Belmont Bay as our scheduler, Jeanet showcases our core values throughout everything they help our residents achieve. She always goes above and beyond to her role and was recently "caught caring" to keep our community clean!

A bit about Jeanet: She started working in long term care after taking care of her mother-in-law. She felt this career was her calling. Jeanet unwinds each day by watching movies and listening to music. One of her favorite songs is Phil Collins "Rain on Me"!

We are very proud of our partnership with Northern Virginia Community College Workforce Development to educate the newest healthcare professionals in our region. Our investment in NOVA Community College programs is changing the lives of students and will change the lives of the patients that they will care for in the future.

We were delighted to celebrate the graduation of the latest cohort of Practical Nursing students last week. Our Regional Director of Operations, Donna Shaw, RN, LNHA, joined the graduates for a photo with Northern Virginia Community College President, Dr. Anne Kress, and later spoke to the graduating class about the joy of being a nurse and the many paths that a career in nursing can take.

In the words of Donna, "Some days will be harder than others but remember that your kindness and care will never be forgotten by the people that you care for."
