We're proud to partner with the incredible Labor & Delivery team at Sentara and celebrate this well-deserved recognition!

Sentara Health has become the first health system in the nation to have all 10 of its Family Maternity Centers earn the AWHONN Respectful Maternity Care Bronze Designation. This national recognition reflects a commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care to every growing family.

As a practice that has the privilege of delivering babies at Sentara, we're grateful to work alongside nurses, physicians, midwives, and staff who are dedicated to making every birth experience safe, respectful, and supportive.

We are thrilled to share that our latest Childbirth Education Class was a tremendous success, with a fantastic turnout and incredible engagement from our expectant parents!

A special thank you to our very own Misti Gray, CNM and Gabriella Gomez, WHNP, who led the class with their expertise, compassion, and dedication to helping families feel informed, confident, and prepared for their birth experience.

A quick message to all of our patients 💕

Recently, phone carriers have become much stricter with spam call filtering, and unfortunately we’ve experienced situations where calls from our office are being blocked or marked as spam even when we are trying to reach patients regarding important results, appointments, or follow-up care.

We have also noticed that some carriers, including Verizon and T-Mobile, are displaying our caller ID as “Occoquan” instead of “About Women OB/GYN,” which may cause confusion or make calls appear unfamiliar.

While we absolutely appreciate the efforts being made to reduce spam calls, we also don’t want these filters to interfere with patient care and communication.

One of the best ways to make sure you receive our calls is to save our office phone number (703-878-0740) in your contacts. Doing this can help prevent your carrier from blocking or flagging our calls and helps ensure we can reach you when needed.
