Years ago, patients were told they’d need to replace implants every 10 years. With today’s advanced, highly cohesive silicone implants, that’s no longer the case. If you’re happy with your results and there’s no issue, there’s no set expiration date.

That said, there are reasons someone may choose an implant exchange:
• Changes in your body over time (aging, weight loss, pregnancy)
• Wanting a different size or shape
• Implant rupture or deflation
• Capsular contracture (hardening around the implant)
• Shifting, asymmetry, or rippling

An implant exchange can refresh your results, restore symmetry, and give you a more natural look that fits where you are now.

Bottom line: you don’t need to replace implants on a schedule, only when your body or goals change.

“Facelift nightmare” or just a misleading headline? 👀

Not everything you read online tells the full story.

Results after a facelift evolve. Swelling goes down, tissues settle, and what you see is not the final outcome. That doesn’t mean something went wrong.

The real takeaway here?
👉 Expectations matter
👉 Communication matters
👉 Choosing a board-certified plastic surgeon matters

Before any surgery, you should know:
• How long results typically last
• What to expect in the first few months
• How your results will change over time

Headlines are designed to grab attention, not educate.
Be your own critic. Ask questions. And make sure you and your surgeon are on the same page every step of the way.

Not all fillers are created equal, and Bellafill is in a category of its own.🌟

Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers that gradually dissolve over time, Bellafill is designed for long-term results. It works by providing immediate volume and stimulating your body’s own collagen production, so your results continue to improve over time, not disappear.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are great for temporary enhancement and flexibility, but they typically last 6–12 months. Bellafill, on the other hand, can last years, making it a powerful option for patients looking for longevity and structure—especially in areas like smile lines and acne scars.

Think of it this way:
💉 HA fillers = quick refresh
💉 Bellafill = long-term investment

Lipedema vs. lymphedema:they may look similar, but they’re very different conditions.

Lipedema is a chronic fat disorder that almost exclusively affects women, causing symmetrical buildup of painful, tender fat (usually in the legs) that doesn’t respond to diet or exercise. A key clue? The feet are typically spared, and patients often report easy bruising and sensitivity.

Lymphedema, on the other hand, is caused by a compromised lymphatic system leading to fluid buildup and swelling. It can affect one or both limbs, often includes the feet, and may present with skin thickening over time.

Diagnosis starts with a thorough physical exam and history. Lipedema is identified clinically based on fat distribution, pain, and symmetry, while lymphedema may require imaging like lymphoscintigraphy to evaluate lymphatic flow.

Understanding the difference is key, because treatment plans are completely different.
