^ Simple doesn't necessarily mean easy. We just need to start thinking about whether or not we're putting out the same kind of energy that we're demanding others put in. WHAT IS IT THAT YOU WANT and are you willing to go the distance? Example: trusting is hard, but in the end if we want it, we're going to have to give some away. These are just some of the speakers/activities I started that resonated with me at the time prior to in depth trauma work. After which I pursued trauma specific modalities such as EMDR, EFT Tapping, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). It is our job as therapists to learn about and continue educating others regarding different cultural customs/methods of healing in order to provide an inclusive, safe, and multicultural approach.
