Have you ever stopped to notice where your child’s tongue rests? 👅

Sometimes the clues that a tongue isn’t resting in its ideal position are hiding in plain sight.

An open-mouth resting posture, frequent mouth breathing, a tongue that sits between the teeth, or difficulty maintaining a tongue-up position can all be reasons to take a closer look.

And here’s an important piece:
Knowing where the tongue belongs and remembering to keep it there are two very different things.

That’s where Spot Pal comes in. 💙
Spot Pal provides a tactile target designed to help build awareness of tongue placement and reinforce healthier oral habits through repetition.

You slept for 8 hours… so why do you still wake up exhausted? 😴💨

The answer may have something to do with how you’re breathing while you sleep.

Mouth-open breathing at night can be associated with disrupted sleep and signs you may recognize the next morning—like dry mouth, jaw fatigue, brain fog, and feeling less than refreshed even after a full night in bed.

And here’s the important part: you can’t simply remind yourself to breathe through your nose once you’re asleep.

Our latest blog explores the connection between mouth breathing, tongue posture, sleep quality, and overall health—plus why building better daytime oral-rest-posture patterns may be an important piece of the puzzle. 👅💙

Your tongue has a home—even while you sleep.

Your gas tank might not be the whole problem. 🥋💨

In combat sports, what happens to your breathing when the pressure goes up matters.

As intensity builds, athletes eventually transition from nasal to mouth breathing—and that’s normal. The goal isn’t to stay nasal-only forever. It’s to train your breathing so you can maintain control longer before that transition happens.

Our latest blog dives into nasal breathing specifically for BJJ and combat athletes, including:

Because the third round shouldn’t be the first time you think about how you’re breathing.

DON’T JUST TRAIN HARDER. BREATHE SMARTER.

Your breathing changes when the game gets harder. 💨

As exercise intensity increases, athletes naturally begin breathing harder—and often rely more heavily on the mouth to meet the body’s increased demand for air.

That’s why breathing deserves a place in the performance conversation.

Athletes train their strength, speed, endurance, and technique. Becoming more aware of breathing mechanics and breath control can be another piece of that training puzzle.

Because when you’re deep into the fourth quarter, final period, or last few minutes of the game…
every breath matters. 🏆

Don’t just train harder. Breathe smarter.

Quick question: Where is your child’s tongue right now? 👅

It seems like such a small thing—but where the tongue rests throughout the day matters.

Proper tongue resting posture can support healthy patterns for breathing, swallowing, speech, and oral development. But for many children, knowing where the tongue belongs isn’t the hardest part.

Remembering to keep it there is. 💡

That’s where tactile feedback can help.
Spot Pal gives the tongue a gentle, physical target to find—helping turn something a child has to think about into a habit they can learn to recognize and reinforce.

Where is your tongue right now? 👅

It sounds like a simple question—but where your tongue rests throughout the day may matter more than you realize.

Proper tongue posture plays a role in:
💨 Nasal breathing & airway support
😁 Jaw stability
🗣️ Speech & articulation
🦷 Oral development
🧍 Posture

And here’s the thing: tongue posture is a habit—which means it can be trained.

Our Complete Guide to Tongue Posture breaks down what proper tongue posture actually looks like, signs yours may be off, why it matters for both kids and adults, and ways to start retraining it.
