I love the holistic nature of this medicine. Not only does it not compartmentalize the body, but it does not separate treating the mind, issues of the heart, or spirit. It's such an incredible lens to witness healing through. I explain this to patients by sharing that people who come in for say, hip pain, often say things like "my blood pressure is the lowest and most stable that it has been since I can remember", or "I'm sleeping though the night since we started". Today, a patient who is coming for digestive issues shared "I'm so much more patient with my family. It's such a relief."
When you become a patient, we treat you. The whole you. We welcome you here. More than your knee, your back, or your neck...all of you.
