Try this powerhouse acai bowl: unsweetened acai, beets, spinach, avocado, greek yogurt, camu camu, acerola, lucuma, topped with cacao chips and coconut granola. Perfect post workout meal.

Camu camu and acerola are are natural sources of vitamin c. Ascorbic acid from China is what is mostly found in supplements, and unless you know it's 3rd party tested, you're taking chances.

I'm a culinary nutritionist with a scientist and EMT background who has consulted in both the food and vitamin industry. I also own a vitamin and healthy products store, very carefully choosing what I stock and always directing people to the best food sources before supplementation.

As a culinary nutritionist I guide you to get your nutrients from food first, see if you are absorbing those nutrients, THEN supplement if needed.
