Congratulations to Christina Atkinson, Physical Therapist with Ascend Rehabilitation in Woodbury, who was honored by St. Catherine University as the 2026 Integrated Clinical Education Clinical Faculty of the Year!

The award recognizes Christina’s excellence in clinical teaching, and the students who nominated her shared what makes her such an exceptional mentor. They praised her ability to understand each student’s learning style, provide thoughtful feedback and create meaningful learning opportunities tailored to their interests.

They also saw firsthand the relationships Christina builds with the people she serves, noting the compassion, patience and respect she brings to her work every day.

We’re proud to have Christina representing Ascend Rehabilitation and helping prepare the next generation of physical therapists. Congratulations, Christina!

What a wonderful morning at The Redwoods!

We were delighted to welcome 50 guests for a special event “Simplify & Downsize with Confidence.” Thank you to our presenters Lee Anne Harding & Terra Klooz- Keller Williams Premier Realty for sharing their expertise and helpful insights with our guests.

We also led guided tours of the amenities at both The Redwoods and our Main Campus, giving everyone a closer look at all our community has to offer.

Last night, we had a grand time celebrating our awesome volunteers as well as National Night Out! Over 20 Woodbury High School Girls’ Soccer players and a bunch of Woodbury High School Key Club members added to the fun!

What a GREAT DAY! A few residents from the Garden were willing to take the bus to The Belwin Conservancy in Afton this afternoon for a special day of “nature memories.”. We listened to live music and enjoyed several activities together with help from the group at FamilyMeans. What a fantastic event!

We are grateful for our volunteers and team members who took the opportunity to join us today! So many laughs were had! Since we were in Afton we ended the day at Selma's Ice Cream! What a fantastic treat!

15 Residents ventured out on this 97 degree day to take a sightseeing trip from Harriet Island down to where the Mississippi meets the Minnesota River. The breeze was lovely, the sites were interesting and the company was fabulous!

(As we left, a group of us said we will remember this day when it’s -30 in January)
