Our Independent Living residents wrapped up the month of July with another popular Crafter’s Corner class. Residents enjoyed painting wooden door hangers that they can proudly display next year as we celebrate our nation’s birthday. While each project was unique and reflected the creativity of its artist, everyone chose to incorporate patriotic red, white, and blue colors into their designs.

Crafter’s Corner has quickly become a resident favorite, bringing together creativity, friendship, and fun. Due to its popularity, we are excited to continue the class throughout the fall season. Our next project will be a beautiful Welcome Fall wooden craft that residents can hang on their doors to celebrate and welcome the arrival of autumn. We look forward to seeing everyone’s creativity shine once again!

Our Assisted Living folks enjoyed a wonderful Jersey Shore-themed afternoon filled with delicious treats and happy memories! Dining Director Marc treated everyone to homemade waffles topped with ice cream, and they were absolutely delicious.

As everyone enjoyed their dessert, the Celebrations team took residents on a trip down memory lane with a "Down the Jersey Shore" reminiscence program, followed by a documentary showcasing the unique history and charm of the Jersey Shore towns. Residents shared stories of family vacations, favorite beaches, boardwalk memories, and summer traditions, making for a fun and meaningful afternoon together.

Fred & Linda recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary with a beautiful Chinese-themed dinner created just for them. Once they selected the menu, our Celebrations Team transformed the dining space into a charming and intimate setting worthy of such a special milestone.

As they enjoyed the evening together, their favorite song, "You Make Me So Very Happy" by Earth, Wind & Fire, played in the background, adding the perfect finishing touch to an already memorable celebration.

We are honored to have shared in this wonderful occasion and wish Fred & Linda many more years filled with love, happiness, and treasured memories together.
Happy 56th Anniversary!

Independent Living residents enjoyed another informative and engaging "Passports to the World" program with Stuart Liss. This month, Stuart took residents on a fascinating journey through the neighborhoods of Philadelphia, sharing the history behind how many of them received their names.

The presentation sparked great interest among residents, especially those who once called Philadelphia home. Many enjoyed reminiscing and sharing their own memories of the city while learning new facts about its rich history.

Next month's program will feature a special presentation, "Remembering Elvis," celebrating the life and legacy of the King of Rock and Roll. We look forward to seeing everyone there for another wonderful afternoon of learning, memories, and entertainment. City of Brotherly Love

It was a great summer evening at Mr. Bill's in Hammonton! Our residents enjoyed not only a delicious dinner but also the monthly classic car cruise that fills the restaurant parking lot with beautiful vintage automobiles. Curt amazed everyone with his knowledge, knowing the make and model of nearly every car on display—very impressive! Great food, classic cars, and wonderful company made for the perfect way to spend a summer night.

Part Two of Our Christmas in July Celebration!

Our Assisted Living residents continued the holiday fun with Part Two of our Christmas in July festivities, combined with our July Birthday Party. The celebration was filled with laughter, music, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

Of course, no holiday celebration would be complete without a visit from jolly old Santa himself! Fresh from his tropical vacation, Santa stopped by to greet residents, spread smiles, and hand out treats to everyone.

The entertainment was provided by the talented Greg Albert, whose lively drumming and wonderful assortment of holiday favorites had everyone singing along, clapping, and enjoying the festive spirit. It was the perfect way to celebrate our July birthdays while bringing a little Christmas magic to the middle of summer!

Centenarian Ball at Woodbury Mews

We had a roaring good time at our Centenarian Roaring 20’s Extravaganza! With nine incredible residents ranging in age from 99 to 104, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate their remarkable lives and legacies.

Our friends from the Gloucester County Board of Commissioners honored each centenarian with an official proclamation—an unforgettable tribute that will be preserved as part of county history for years to come.

While the photos to follow capture just a glimpse of the evening’s excitement, the joy, laughter, and sense of celebration filled every moment.

A heartfelt thank you to each and every team member who played a role in bringing this special event to life. Your dedication made it truly unforgettable!

Celebrating Christmas in July with Our Independent Residents!

Our Independent Living residents had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas in July, and we even had a very special surprise guest! Santa Claus decided to take a break from his beach vacation and stop by Woodbury Mews to join in the festivities.

Santa arrived with one of his favorite treats—salt water taffy—which he happily shared with everyone. Residents enjoyed taking photos with Santa in front of our festive beach-themed backdrop while listening to their favorite Christmas songs.

The celebration was filled with holiday cheer as residents relaxed with their favorite wine and beer, sang along to classic Christmas music, and enjoyed spending time with friends.

A big thank you to Santa for making a special summer appearance and helping create such a memorable afternoon. With Christmas only five months away, remember—you better be good for goodness sake!

As we continue celebrating our patriotic spirit throughout July, our Independent Living residents enjoyed a fun and creative afternoon of painting. Each resident received a wooden patriotic plaque to decorate in beautiful red, white, and blue acrylic colors. The finished plaques were all unique, showcasing each resident's creativity and personal style.

Residents were excited to display their one-of-a-kind creations on their doors and proudly show them off to friends and neighbors. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the activity while expressing their artistic talents.

As July comes to a close, we look forward to welcoming August with new and exciting classes and activities. We hope to see everyone join us for more fun, creativity, and great memories in the months ahead!

Our Independent Living residents enjoyed a wonderful and fulfilling day trip to Lancaster! We started with a delicious meal at Shady Maple, where everyone found something to enjoy. From crispy fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and homemade stuffing to kielbasa, chili, and countless other favorites, the variety was incredible!

After lunch, residents had the opportunity to browse the gift shop and pick up some fresh fruits, vegetables, and special treats to take home.

The trip was such a success that our residents are still talking about how much they enjoyed it—and many have already asked if we can plan another visit soon! We would love to experience the beauty and charm of Lancaster during the Christmas season.
