Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Connecticare, Husky (Medicaid), Medicare, United Healthcare. Will my insurance cover my treatment? It depends, insurance companies all have their own guidelines for medical coverage and this gets even more specific depending on your individual plan. Our insurance specialist is trained in verifying your own plans coverage, and uses this information to assist the doctors in creating a plan of care. What if my insurance has minimal coverage, or if I don’t have health insurance? While we make an effort to be in network with every insurance, many plans are limited in what they cover or in some cases just have an extremely high out of pocket cost associated with them. Because of this we are also part of a Discount Medical Plan called CHUSA (ChiroHealth USA). This allows us to follow local and federal billing law while continuing to provide affordable care. How will I know what my out of pocket costs will be after my first visit? Though copays and coinsurance may vary, we make every attempt to give you an accurate number prior to your first visit as long as the online intake has been completed fully – including your insurance information. If your insurance does not cover chiropractic exams then the cost of your exam will also include the annual fee for CHUSA, which is $49. This membership not only entitles you to reduced cash rates, but also covers any eligible dependents in the household. If you are already a CHUSA member than please bring your patient ID number, as we cannot search outside of our practice without it.
