The dads I worry about most aren’t the ones in severe pain.
They’re the ones who can still do almost everything.
Because those dads are dangerous.
Dangerous because they can still function.
Still coach.
Still golf.
Still mow the lawn.
Still wrestle with the kids.
Just enough to convince themselves everything is fine.
Until one day they realize they’ve spent years managing symptoms instead of addressing them.
The pain usually isn’t what bothers them most.
It’s the memories.
The moments.
The things they sat out on because they thought they’d deal with it later.
If you’re constantly telling yourself:
“It’s not bad enough yet.”
Ask yourself this:
Would your spouse agree?
Would your kids?
