Venus retrograde begins on December 19th until January 29th. Venus will be in the sign of Capricorn during this period. This energy of Venus Rx in Capricorn is intended bring up thoughts surrounding what we value, and if the people we have in our life align with those values. You may find yourself thinking or revisiting issues in your close relationships. During Venus retrograde, past partners/friends may come back (for a short period of time usually). Venus also rules beauty and values. It is usually advised to avoid haircuts, makeovers, plastic surgery. It is a great time to reevaluate your finances and create a budget for 2022!

People who are born under a Venus in Capricorn (like myself!) are very serious in love. These individuals often look at relationships as “you’re either adding to my life, or good bye.” They are very logical in love, and want someone who will do for them as they will for you. This may feel like a hard one, all. I know. This Full Moon is apart of an 18 month eclipse cycle where we will see the beginning seeds sprout of huge transformation in our lives. Maybe it doesn’t feel like seeds sprouting, it feels like your tree is being chopped down…. Deep breath. It’s all for the best. You will see. We will continue to see the story unfold over the other eclipses we will experience later on in 2022.

The Moon in Ta**us values safety, sense of security, their specific morals, the sensual and sweet pleasures in life, the things that make them feel goooooood. Mercury is the planet which rules our communication, our thought process, how we download and interpret information, technology, travel and plans. Uranus is the planet which rules eccentricity, change, being and doing different, going against the grain in any way possible!

Mercury -opposes- Uranus today which can create an atmosphere of possible miscommunication, a change in plans (or your mind!), and a possible resistance to these thoughts and changes. Change is brought on by Uranus, in the area of plans and communication (Mercury).

Thought it might feel like Uranus is here to screw up our flow- as an Aquarius who is ruled by Uranus- I would challenge you to change that narrative. Uranian influence leads to new insights if we’re open to them. Change isn’t always negative! Uranus is an outer planet, which can bring on other worldly, or “out there” thought. We are more susceptible to downloads, insights or even epiphanies during this time. What I mean by this is that the change in our thought processes today is probably for some higher purpose. I want to highlight a beautiful oracle deck I was so lucky to find over the weekend in Woodstock, N.Y. This deck is called the Mushroom Oracle and it wa created by .little.fern.house! It is so creative. The artwork is absolutely stunning. Each card feels so special. The guidebook it comes with is handmade, and hand sewn.

This is definitely a treasure for me to come across. Mushrooms {Niños Santos} (psilocybin, ashwaganda, reishi) have all been amazing plant allies for me along my journey. A sacred ancestor to us all… I can’t wait to start working with this deck, and my little mushroom friends more.

Mercury went direct, and just like that… we are in catapulted into moody, dark, intense, passionate Scorpio season. Funny that after that description, I would really compare a Scorpio to a swan. They are elegant, beautiful, mysterious.. appearing as if they’re gliding across the top of the water - but really their legs are anxiously paddling underwater. Will they let you get close enough to see that? Not likely. They’ll probably hiss and you and you’ll just walk away slowly, lol. The honor to be close with a Scorpio is rare! Tread with caution.

Scorpio is no bulls**t, no game. They don’t cookie cut, hold your hand, provide you a soft cushy landing. Scorpios are in investigators. No bull-s**t, they sniff it out easily. This full moon, we will experience the polarity between Aries (who is concerned with SELF) and Libra (who is concerned with US, WE). While Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise. The full moon invites us to work with creating room for the two to work harmoniously.

This Intense Aries Full Moon is sure to stir up some passionate feelings within us, particularly in the area of: relationships (Libra rules our relationships with others.) While it might be really crap to go through more stuff after retrograde just ended…It’s what has to be done.Something has been building inside of you - the Aries Moon makes you feel like you can’t sit on it anymore! That’s because the Moon is telling you “it is time. Time to let it out.” We will feel that we must express our feelings. If not directly on the full moon, over the weeks following, we will discover what this means for each of us. Full Moons are a time for releasing. There’s no escaping that. You may as well just feel it, and then let it all go! Those feelings are bubbling up to the surface so that they can be released. Remember from my self limpia post - energy must be released or we can manifest illnesses in our bodies over time. (you can find a guide on how to do that on my IG.) Full Moons are a perfect time for a self limpia. Grab some sage or backyard yerbas to cleanse yourself, or make a tea with some of the herbs that recommended to work with for the Full Moon in Aries (reposted in my story).

Ayeee! We made it! How was it for you? Did you rest, and relax? You didn’t message your ex, did you? It’s ok. Because it’s over! Mercury is now direct. All those little technology issues, Instagram crashing, old flames coming back, miscommunications, confusions - should all start to get easier now.

What is Mercury Retrograde anyway? 3-4 times a year (the most of any planet), Mercury APPEARS to be moving backward in the sky for a period of approximately 3 weeks. “Appears” because, technically speaking - no planet actually moves backward in their orbits around the Sun. Retrograde cycles are actually illusions that result from our point of view from Earth, simply because the Earth is also orbiting the Sun at a different speed than the other planets. Think of a train moving alongside your train - but your train is moving at a quicker speed than the other train. That other train will appear to be going backwards. The ENERGY that we feel from Earth from this phenomenon is manifested with energy surrounding Mercury (Mercury rules technology/communication/travel - and this is why we see issues in these areas during retrograde cycles)
