Effective counseling, whether in ministry or clinical settings, begins with understanding how God designed the brain to function in relationship.

In our CARE Framework, the C stands for Conceptualization of the Brain. 🧠

At CRC, we explore Conceptualization of the Brain by identifying seven interconnected brain systems and how they work together to shape our emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

Join us at Relational By Design training as we discover how God’s design for the brain equips us to foster deeper healing, stronger relationships, and lasting transformation.

We are so excited for our first Relational By Design training, coming up in just 3 WEEKS!

What can you expect to learn at an RBD training?

The basis of all teaching at RBD will be based on our CARE Framework:

C: Conceptualization of the Brain - Discover how God designed the brain to develop, regulate, and heal through relationships.

A: Abundant Delight - Explore why joy is essential for emotional maturity, secure attachment, and relational resilience.

R: Rooted in Our Authentic, Spirit-Led Self - Learn how living from our identity in Christ creates a grounded, regulated presence that fosters connection and healing.

E: Embodied Relational Design - Understand why lasting transformation comes through lived relational experiences.

With so much more packed into four sessions over two days, we can’t wait to share what God has been revealing to us at CRC and to partner with leaders and clinicians in our community to extend healing, relational care to those in need.

There’s still time to register! Open to anyone in a helping or ministry role. Register at relationalcare.org/bydesign

Self-awareness and self-control aren’t inherent skills; they have to be learned and practiced! From a young age, children begin to learn to either control their emotions when they are activated (upset, anxious, angry, etc.) or to react from their emotions.

Self-awareness is one of the first critical skills we need to manage our own activation. If we can name the experience, we have more clarity. And with that clarity, we can proceed more cautiously in an emotional a state.

Take a mindful moment today to reflect on how you use self-awareness in your every day life. How naturally do these steps come to you? Or do they feel confusing and difficult? How could you benefit from slowing down and naming your experience before reacting?
