In Loving Memory
Phyllis Loetell of Pittsgrove, NJ, has departed this life to continue her journey and reunite with her beloved spouse, her dearly loved sisters and brothers, and numerous dear friends who went before her, all of whom she had missed so very deeply.
Phyllis had a love for travel and adventure, enjoying opportunities to explore new places and experience the history and beauty of the world. Among her many travels, she'd like to reminisce about cruising the Nile, exploring England, visiting Gettysburg and Williamsburg, and taking trips to Las Vegas with her family and friends. Each destination offered its own precious memories and experiences that she treasured.
She also had a passion for shopping and reselling antiques, enjoying the hunt for unique and special finds. Her love of discovery was a part of what made her life her own. Phyllis leaves behind her 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, the extended family of her siblings, and a colony of spoiled cats.
We send our love with
Phyllis to all those who went before her. We know your reunions will be joyous, filled with laughter and love, and the happiness of being together again.
In accordance with Phyllis' wishes, there will be no Memorial or Service. Instead, she asked that anyone who wished to remember her donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org, to spread hope to those in need.

Walter H. Turner, 83, of Alloway, passed away on October 27, 2026. Born in Swedesboro, Walt was the son of Edward and Rae Crispin Turner.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Judith Gantz; his children, Kelly Mitchell and her husband, Al; Dean and his wife, Karen; and Travis and his wife, Terry. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Lana Hinson.

After graduating from Woodstown High School, Walt joined the U.S. Navy and served with the Seabees in Antarctica during Operation Deep Freeze. Throughout his career, he worked for Mobil Oil, Franzen Equipment and Roork's Farm Supply before starting his own business, Lawns By Walt/Walt's Dixie Chopper, which he retired from in 2007.

Walt was an adventurous soul who loved doing crazy things and embracing life to the fullest. His willingness to try new things and his love for adventure were an important part of who he was.

A viewing for Walt will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098, with a service to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Aldine United Methodist Church Cemetery following the service.

I should have written this several days ago, but, like many people, I struggled with coming to terms with the situation and finding the right words to express it all. My mom, Dolly, passed away last Thursday, October 22, 2026. Even though she was just two months shy of turning 100, she had lived a fantastic life. Still, her passing came as a shock to my brother, Scott, and me. Knowing Mom, I figured she would defy mortality and live forever. But as we all know, immortality belongs to the stars, and in the end, we were truly blessed to have her as our mother and friend for 99 years.
Natalie Nicholas, affectionately known to most as Dolly, was born on December 21, 1926, on Pitman Street in Penns Grove to Louis and Anna Nicholas. She spent the first few years of her life there, until Grandpop moved the family to South Broad Street. Mom graduated from Penns Grove High School, met Dad at the Broad Theater, and, in time, the two were married. Dad later decided to pursue a career as a funeral director, and together, they opened their funeral home at 131 S. Broad Street. Side by side, they built a business and raised a family, creating a legacy that has continued through the generations.
From an early age, Mom was what people would call a “go-getter.” She had an unstoppable drive and was always ready to take on whatever needed to be done. Whether she was working to build something for her family or lending a helping hand to someone in need, Mom never seemed...

George W. Shute, Jr., 69, of Carneys Point, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Cooper University Hospital, following a courageous 14-month battle with cancer. In his final moments, George was surrounded by the comfort of familiar music, listening to John Denver with his beloved wife, Kimberly, by his side.

George dedicated over 40 years of his professional life to the nuclear industry, working as a civil and mechanical engineer before retiring in 2023. His career reflected his dedication, knowledge, and strong work ethic.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, George was deeply devoted to the Boy Scouts of America, an organization he proudly served for more than 30 years. Throughout his years of service, he held numerous leadership positions at the local, district, and council levels, leaving a lasting impact on the Scouting community. His commitment and contributions were recognized through several prestigious honors, including the District Award of Merit, the Silver Beaver Award, and the Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow. He was also a proud member of the Antelope Patrol, with whom he earned his Wood Badge in 2023.

Samuel F. Parks, 92, a life-long resident of Pittsgrove, NJ passed away on October 23, 2026. Born in Franklinville on September 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Samuel F. Parks, Jr. and Catherine (Giberson) Parks and was a 1954 graduate of Clayton High School. In his high school years, Sam started pumping gas at his brother's gas station which led to a 65-year career as the owner and operator of Sam's Super Service, which he began in Bridgeton and expanded into Elmer.

Sam's hobbies were rooted in his love for all things outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and absolutely loved the time that he spent at the cabin in Maine with his family. He shared his love of snowmobiling by becoming a Polaris dealer, selling and servicing snowmobiles and four-wheelers in the community. While Sam enjoyed many adventures throughout his life, some of his greatest pleasures were the simplest ones - talking with his customers, a good cup of coffee, his favorite Butterscotch Krimpets, and time spent with those he loved.

Loretta Ann Smith, 67, of Newfield, passed away on October 14, 2026. Born in Bridgeton, Loretta was the daughter of Tommy Ray and the late Ruth Mae Shimp (nee Moore).

Loretta will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Eric Smith; her children, Shanna Cox and William “Bill” Cox III; her father, Tommy Ray, and his wife, Gloria; her siblings, Cindy Holifield, Randy Ray, and Crystal Ray; and her grandchildren, Kayla, Ethan, Jewelia, and Elliette. She also leaves behind her very dear friend, Linda Laskin, and her husband, Rob.

In addition to her mother, Loretta was predeceased by her stepfather, Ronald K. Shimp, and her son, Justin Cox.

Services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Adams Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Elmer, NJ 08318. The family will be available starting at 10 AM to greet those who wish to stop by and pay their respects, with the service following at 11 AM. David Carl LaBree, of Pittsgrove, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at Inspira Medical Center Vineland following a brief illness, with his family by his side, at the age of 67. He was born on November 12, 1958, and was a lifelong resident of Pittsgrove.

David graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1977 and went on to attend Saint Andrews Presbyterian College, where he graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts. David worked most of his life for Seabrook Housing Corporation and Griffin Care. He was also a co-owner of the family business Rolling Repairs with his father, Neil.

Shortly after graduating from high school, David sustained a traumatic injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down. However, that did not stop David from living life to the fullest. He was one of the happiest and most positive people you could ever meet, despite the daily struggles he faced.

Nothing in the world made him happier than helping people. David would give the shirt off his back to help a stranger; he truly had a heart of gold. But he loved being a dad most of all. He was very family-oriented and always put his family first. He loved “his girls” more than anything. Nothing made him more proud than being their father and bragging about their accomplishments. David also loved taking trips to Ocean City with his daughters and always let their friends tag along if they wanted to.

Patricia Sue Locke, age 77, of Elmer, NJ passed away on October 16, 2026. Born in Camden, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Marion (Murphy) Poinsett. Patricia was a graduate of Woodstown High School and worked as a cashier at the First National Bank of Elmer. She is survived by her sister Joan Ambruster and her cousin Nancy Murphy.

Emerson Doughty “Dow” Eisele, Jr., age 84, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at The Terraces at Parke Place in Sewell, NJ, where he had resided for the past four years following several strokes. His passing came almost exactly one year after the death of his beloved wife of 49 years, Dolores Marie (Fioresi).
Born on June 7, 1942, in Haddonfield, NJ, Dow was the son of Lillian May (Golley) and Emerson D. Eisele, Sr. He grew up in Haddonfield and spent his entire life in southern New Jersey, residing for most of his adult years in Elmer, NJ. He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard and Army Reserve from 1964 to 1970. During his service, he received the NJ Medal of Merit in 1966 and NJ Medal Awards in 1967 and 1969.
Throughout his life, Dow enjoyed hunting, collecting antiques, and restoring antique cars of all sizes. He also had a special love for Cape May Point, where his family maintained a home for many years.
Dow worked at John Lucas Paint Manufacturing in Gibbsboro before establishing his own business as an antique car restorer, turning a lifelong hobby into a career.
He is survived on the Eisele side by three nieces; Patricia Iannelli, Barbara Roche and Nancy Buyser. On his wife’s side, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Janice (Fioresi) Olivio (Robert); brothers-in-law Ronald Fioresi (Veronica), Dominick Fioresi, Sr. (Patricia), and Gary Fioresi (JoAnn), as well as eight nieces and nephews.

Joanne Romansky was born on August 24, 1939 to Willard and Phyllis Neiman. Joanne went to Woodrow Wilson High School in East Camden. She was married to Thomas S. Romansky, Sr. on January 14, 1961 in a beautiful Ceremony at St. Joes Pro Cathedral Church in Camden. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, two sons Tom Jr. (Kadja) and Michael, her Grandchildren Tyler and Hayley who were the love of her life, her sister Barbara Corney, her niece Robin Horst, numerous cousins, and tons of friends. Her love of her Catholic Faith and Family meant everything to her.
In addition to those loves, Joanne and Tom had a passion for travel. They loved traveling the globe and experiencing life together in Hawaii, Europe, Tahiti, Jamaica, Las Vegas, Florida, Mexico, as well as numerous cruises to Bermuda, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Alaska, and the Panama Canal were just a few of the places they traveled. Her favorite trip was back in 2007 when she took the entire family to Hawaii, because it wasn’t just the place but the memories that she made with all of us. And it goes without saying Joanne loved fashion, shopping, getting her hair done, and dressing to a T. Everything had to match. When they traveled, they would take 4 suitcases…three for her and one for her husband Tom.
