Warren ISD Welcomes Coach Rhonda Williams as Head Volleyball Coach! 🏐

Warren ISD is excited to announce the hiring of Rhonda Williams as the new Head Volleyball Coach for the Warren Warriors!

With more than 30 years of coaching experience, Coach Williams brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and leadership to our volleyball program. Throughout her career, she has successfully led school volleyball programs while also owning and coaching a competitive club volleyball organization for the past 12 years.

Coach Williams is dedicated to developing student-athletes both on and off the court, helping them grow in skill, confidence, leadership, and character. Her philosophy extends beyond wins and losses, focusing on preparing young people for success in life.

"I want every athlete to leave my program understanding that challenges are opportunities for growth, setbacks are temporary, and quitting is never an option. The lessons learned through volleyball can shape a lifetime, and I am honored to be a part of that journey." – Coach Williams

Please join us in welcoming Coach Williams to the Warren ISD family as she begins leading our Lady Warrior volleyball program into an exciting new chapter!

A huge THANK YOU to Melissa Winters for serving as our Wrangler Week Director! 🤠🔥

Wrangler Week doesn’t just happen on its own. It takes months of planning, countless hours, a servant’s heart, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to help kids experience Jesus. Melissa has poured herself into this week, and we are so thankful for her leadership.

Because of her hard work, hundreds of kids have laughed, learned, worshiped, made friends, and heard the truth of God’s Word through Campfire Stories.

Thank you, Melissa, for your heart for kids, your dedication to our church, and your willingness to serve behind the scenes. Wrangler Week 2026 has been a tremendous success because of leaders like you.

The Texas Quote of the Day:

"Never have men so quickly and ruthlessly slashed a forest as they did the Southern pine forests. Labor was cheap, the country flat to rolling, the weather rarely severe. The Southern lumber baron pushed his "cut and get out" policy to an extreme not seen before or since. Oddly enough, very little lore resulted from this massive transformation. The lumberjack of the north and northwest has no counterpart in Texas mythology. Compared with the backwoods bear hunter, the cowboy, or the oilfield roughneck, the East Texas timber worker appears as drab a character as the Southern mill worker he resembles, tied to the region in which he, his wife, and children were born, constantly in debt to the company store."

Congratulations to Chesney Wright of Spurger ISD for receiving the Visionary Educator Award at the Collegiate Edu-Nation Rural Empowerment Conference!

This award recognizes innovative leadership in education pathways and honors educators who create meaningful, transformative opportunities for students.

Chesney’s dedication to our seniors is a powerful example of that leadership. Through her work coordinating one-on-one mock interviews with local employers in career fields aligned to each student’s interests, she helped students build confidence, gain real-world experience, and prepare for life beyond high school. Several students even received job offers as a direct result of the experience.

We are proud to celebrate Chesney’s vision, hard work, and commitment to student success.

Congratulations, Chesney!
