For more than three decades, Kim B., RN, has been making a difference in the lives of patients and families at Wooster Community Hospital. πŸ’™
Kim joined WCH in 1993 as a Patient Care Assistant while attending nursing school. After graduating from The University of Akron in 1995, she began her nursing career on Med-Surg before working as an ED-ICU float nurse and eventually finding her home in Emergency Services.
Most of her career has been spent in the Emergency Department, serving as a Staff RN, Charge RN, and now Director, a role she has held for nearly 11 years.
Kim shares that what she enjoys most about working at WCH is the positive workplace culture and knowing that her work contributes to improving the lives of the people we serve. She also believes emergency nursing is a challenging but incredibly rewarding career where compassion and care can make a lasting difference in a patient's life.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also loves being outdoors, visiting the beach, and attending sporting events.

Since 1992, Regina S., RN, has served Wooster Community Hospital in a variety of nursing roles across multiple departments. πŸ’™
She began her time at WCH as a Nurse Tech while still in college, later joining the Orthopedic floor after graduation. In 1996, she transitioned to the Progressive Care Unit when it opened, and today she continues her work in Endoscopy and Surgery.
Regina shares that what she has enjoyed most throughout her career is caring for patients and helping them. She also reflects on the strong relationships built with her colleagues over the years, saying she feels blessed by the friendships and support found throughout her time at WCH.
Outside of work, Regina enjoys spending time with her family, especially her first grandchild, along with friends. She also enjoys working in her flower beds and playing pickleball.

From starting as a Nurse Tech in the ICU while attending nursing school to now serving as Director of Intensive Care and the Dialysis Program, Jenny B., RN, has built an incredible 35 year career at Wooster Community Hospital. πŸ’™
After joining WCH in 1991, Jenny began her nursing career in the ICU before taking on leadership roles including charge nurse for Intensive Care and Progressive Care and later assistant manager for PCU and ICU.
She shares that what she enjoys most about working at WCH is β€œThe Wooster Way” and being surrounded by people who genuinely care about patients, families, and one another. Jenny says making a difference for patients while working alongside such a supportive team is one of the reasons she loves working at WCH.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with family, grandchildren, and friends, along with collecting Millersburg Glass.

Since joining Wooster Community Hospital in 1987, Diane B., RN, has spent nearly four decades caring for patients in the community she proudly calls home. πŸ’™

After starting on the medical surgical unit, Diane transitioned to surgery in 1989, where she found her passion as a surgery nurse.

She shares that caring for patients and their families has been one of the most meaningful parts of her career, and many of those experiences have helped shape her into the nurse she is today. Over the years, she has also built lasting relationships with surgeons and coworkers who she says have become like family.

Diane is especially grateful for the opportunity to remain a surgery nurse throughout her career, serving as a patient advocate and always putting her patients first.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, flower gardening, and spending time with her daughter.

Her journey at WCH has included time in med-surg, pediatrics, and again med-surg after the departments combined before finding her current niche in ambulatory care within pre-admission testing.
She shares that the most rewarding part of her career has always been caring for patients and meeting their needs each day. Along the way, the colleagues she has worked beside have made a lasting impact, supporting one another through both celebrations and difficult moments and helping make WCH a place she has truly enjoyed working.

From volunteering after high school to 41 years of service, Christine W., RN, has built an incredible career at Wooster Community Hospital. πŸ’™
She first joined WCH as a volunteer and was later hired while still in nursing school, splitting time between human resources and the lab before beginning her nursing career on med-surg. In 1989, she transitioned to surgery and found what she calls her β€œforever home.”

Today, she serves as a perioperative educator, where she teaches surgical skills to new nurses and enjoys watching their confidence grow as they discover their place in the operating room.

Christine shares that one of the most meaningful parts of her role is caring for patients during some of the most stressful moments in their lives and being part of a compassionate team providing high-quality care close to home.
