For more than three decades, Kim B., RN, has been making a difference in the lives of patients and families at Wooster Community Hospital. π
Kim joined WCH in 1993 as a Patient Care Assistant while attending nursing school. After graduating from The University of Akron in 1995, she began her nursing career on Med-Surg before working as an ED-ICU float nurse and eventually finding her home in Emergency Services.
Most of her career has been spent in the Emergency Department, serving as a Staff RN, Charge RN, and now Director, a role she has held for nearly 11 years.
Kim shares that what she enjoys most about working at WCH is the positive workplace culture and knowing that her work contributes to improving the lives of the people we serve. She also believes emergency nursing is a challenging but incredibly rewarding career where compassion and care can make a lasting difference in a patient's life.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also loves being outdoors, visiting the beach, and attending sporting events.
Thank you, Kim, for your many years of leadership, compassion, and dedication to our patients, staff, and community. π
