Every summer one of the kid's favorite outings is Roosevelt Glamping cabin day! This beautiful property is owned by a CCHO staff member and is perfect for the kids to go fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and crafting!

This annual tradition allows our kids and staff to spend the day together and simply play–a trauma-effective tool for connecting and building trust with youth from hard places. The kids also get try new experiences and practice new skills. It’s a day for growing confidence and making memories.

We loved the opportunity to share about our One Heart Stables program through Encompass Christian Counseling located on our campus! Many people do not know equine therapy is a career option and we love to share about the amazing healing benefits of our equine program!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 32𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴4𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰 ⛳ was held on Monday, August 10 at The Wooster Country Club. 100 golfers spent the day competing in a 36-hole scramble, completing contests and exciting hole-in-one challenges! We are so grateful to all of our sponsors, donors and golfers who helped more children experience their worth in Christ!

𝗭𝗮𝗰𝗵 has witnessed and experienced significant domestic violence, leaving him with emotional wounds that continue to affect how he responds to the world around him. As a result, he can have a quick temper and often struggles to regulate his emotions. He sometimes interprets healthy expectations and gentle redirection as criticism or punishment, making relationships with both staff and peers challenging at times.

One of the strongest bridges to Zach’s heart is music. It has become a meaningful point of connection between him and our staff. His MP3 player holds an eclectic mix of songs, including music from one of his favorite bands, which just so happens to be a favorite of one of our clinical staff members as well. Even after a difficult moment, the two can often be found sitting together, listening to music, singing along, and creating Perler bead projects. These simple moments of connection are helping to build trust and show Zach that he is safe, valued, and cared for. ❤💕

CCHO is blessed time and time again by the generosity of our community. We are so grateful for the employees from ProVia who spent the day on our campus staining the pasture fence and fixing our composting shed. We truly could not complete these projects without the help of our volunteer groups. We are so grateful for companies like ProVia who are invested in helping provide hope and healing to children from hard places.
