Ever try to fix everything about your health at the same time? The gut, the sleep, the detox, the infection, all at once?
It makes sense to me. When you can see everything that needs doing, running at all of it feels like the fastest way through. But you do not have to run faster than you have strength. You honestly cannot, and every time I have watched someone try, it just set them back.
Think about a baby learning to walk. Nobody hands a little one potty training, full sentences, and a first step in the same afternoon. They build one thing at a time, and each piece gets them ready for the next. Your healing works the same way.
On this episode of Made to Be Whole, I walk through the order I actually use with patients. Why I start with nutrients. Why I put sleep at the top of the list and not the bottom. Why going after the infection before you have laid the groundwork can leave you feeling worse instead of better. There is a wise order to this, and it changes how the whole journey feels.
You clear away the bad a little at a time. You add the good a little at a time. It balances out, and you get there. It can feel slow and frustrating when you just want to get better. And sometimes slower can be faster in the long run.
Give it a listen when you have a quiet minute. And if you want a place to begin, Foundations of Health is what I built for exactly this.
You were made to be whole.
