Last night was the final Rural Remains outdoors. A big thank you to: for giving me the opportunity to lead the tour guides and give two tours each night, my fellow tour guides for giving such wonderful tours, the actors for braving the cold and giving eleven performances each night to bring their characters back to life, Eric Spencer for the inspired lighting, Rural Cemetery for providing the staff and glorious location, and of course Harry Albert for being such a fantastic writer and glorious director!

But don’t despair! There is an indoor performance next Thursday (October 29) at 7:30 pm that still has a few tickets left.

While this is the last walking tour of the cemetery for Rural Remains this year, there are still tickets available for Rural Remains Inside on October 29, where our costumed actors will perform their characters for a seated audience inside the cemetery's chapel.

William J. Callum (1841-1869)

William lived and farmed in Holden, MA all his life, except for the nine months he served in the 51st Massachusetts Regiment during the US Civil War. He died there of consumption in 1869.
