Our PFAC is supporting a wonderful new Patient/Family Centered-Care initiative at UMass Memorial Medical Center that we'd like to share with you.

Due to either homelessness or to the trauma that precipitated their hospitalization, many of our patients do not have clean clothing to put on when they are getting ready to be discharged.

Community Closet is helping to meet this unique need by providing basic clothing items for patients as they transition from our care back to the care of the larger community, allowing them to leave the hospital with dignity and respect.

Over the past year, Community Closet has assisted close to 100 patients in need of new clothing. To continue supporting our patients and families, we need to raise additional funds to purchase essentials such as T-shirts, sweatpants, socks and underwear.

We hope you’ll consider making a donation to help us re-stock our closet. Regardless of the dollar value, every donation is meaningful.

Worcester Public Library is running vaccine equity clinics every Wednesday evening in June! These are FREE to community members, and we are so excited to see them partnering with the Department of Health & Human Services so this can happen.

Our Free Little Library is looking awfully sad at Memorial Campus, and we need books to fill it up! If you're considering donating books, all we ask is that you sanitize them first. If you need help transporting books to the hospital, feel free to contact us.
