15 Years of OWL Unlimited

This month, I celebrate 15 years of OWL Unlimited, and my heart is filled with gratitude.

If someone had told me years ago that I would own a business, I would have laughed. Growing up, I watched my parents own a business. While I admired their hard work and dedication, I also saw the struggles, long hours, sacrifices, and uncertainty that came with it. Because of that, owning a business was never part of my plans.

But God had a different plan.

As I look back over the past 15 years, I can clearly see His hand guiding me, opening doors I never expected to walk through and carrying me through challenges I couldn’t have faced alone. Jeremiah 29:11 has become a reminder of His faithfulness:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that people are the heart of any organization. Finding good employees hasn’t always been easy, but I have been blessed with people who have cared deeply about our mission. I’ve always believed in treating employees with kindness, respect, and appreciation because everyone deserves to feel valued.

The greatest blessing of this journey has been the privilege of serving individuals with disabilities. They have taught me about perseverance, courage, joy, and unconditional acceptance. Every person we serve has unique gifts, and it has been an honor to watch them grow, succeed, and enrich the lives of everyone around them. I truly believe they have blessed me far more than I have blessed them.

People often ask about the name OWL Unlimited. The truth is simple—I have always loved owls, and when it came time to name the business, nothing else seemed to fit! Looking back, I smile because that simple choice has become the name of a mission that has touched so many lives.

To our employees, the individuals and families we have served, our community, and everyone who has supported OWL Unlimited over these past 15 years, thank you. You have all been a part of this incredible journey.

Most of all, thank You, Lord, for leading me down a path I never planned to take but one that has brought more purpose, joy, and blessings than I ever imagined.

Here’s to celebrating 15 years of God’s faithfulness and looking forward to whatever He has planned next.
