ing the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session. Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain. Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation. Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression. Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating. Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Can emotions really affect our organs?

You may have seen charts like this one connecting emotions such as anger, grief, fear, worry, and excitement with certain organs. These ideas come largely from traditional healing systems, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s important to know that modern medicine does not show that specific emotions are literally “stored” in individual organs.

What we do know is that stress and emotions can have very real physical effects throughout the body.

When you’re under ongoing stress, your nervous system can stay in a heightened state. You may notice tight muscles, headaches, shallow breathing, digestive changes, increased heart rate, poor sleep, fatigue, and an overall feeling that your body just can’t relax.

So where does massage come in?

Massage doesn’t directly treat or “detox” your internal organs, but it can support many of the body systems that help keep you healthy. Massage may:

• Encourage relaxation and help calm the stress response
• Improve blood flow to muscles and other tissues
• Reduce muscle tension around the chest, back, and abdomen
• Help you breathe more comfortably by relaxing tight muscles involved in breathing
• Support healthy movement and circulation
• Reduce stress that can contribute to digestive discomfort
• Improve sleep and relaxation
• Help decrease pain and physical tension

Our muscles, nervous system, circulation, breathing, digestion, and internal organs don’t work independently of one another. Your body works as a whole.

Sometimes taking care of your body physically can also help you feel better mentally and emotionally. Massage gives your body time to slow down, release tension, and recover from the physical effects of everyday stress.

I used ChatGPT to generate a tarot card for me and this is what it came up with. 🔮😂

Card VII: The Massage Therapist 💆🏼‍♀️

She appears when your shoulders are touching your ears, your neck hasn’t turned correctly since 2019, and you keep saying, “I’m fine, it’s just a little tight.”

Her powers include: finding knots you didn’t know existed, telling you to drink more water, and somehow knowing exactly where it hurts before you even tell her.

The cards have spoken and you need a massage. 😂

✨ Stretch Today. Your Body Will Thank You Tomorrow. ✨

Most of us spend hours sitting at desks, driving, looking at our phones, or repeating the same movements every day. Over time, muscles tighten, joints become less mobile, and aches begin to appear. The good news? Just 5–10 minutes of stretching each day can make a huge difference!

Easy At-Home Stretches:

✔️ Neck stretches (gently tilt ear toward shoulder)
✔️ Shoulder rolls and chest-opening stretches
✔️ Cat-Cow stretch for your spine
✔️ Child’s Pose to relieve back tension
✔️ Hip flexor stretch after sitting all day
✔️ Hamstring stretch while seated or standing
✔️ Calf stretches against a wall
✔️ Gentle spinal twists while lying on your back

Quick Self-Care Tips:

🌿 Stay hydrated!! (Your muscles function better when properly hydrated.)
🚶 Get up and move every 30 to 60 minutes if you sit for long periods of time
🔥 Apply a heating pad to tight muscles before stretching
🧊 Use ice if you’re dealing with inflammation after activity or use heat afterwards
🎾 A tennis ball or foam roller can help release tight muscles at home!
🧘 Breathe slowly and never force a stretch (stretching should feel good, not painful.)

Schedule your next massage with me and let’s get those muscles feeling good!

When you take a few minutes to leave a review after your massage, you’re not only sharing your experience, you’re helping new clients feel comfortable choosing me and helping my business continue to grow.

Every review, recommendation, share, and kind word helps more people find me and I truly appreciate every person who takes the time to support my business.

If you’ve had a massage with me and enjoyed your experience, I would be so grateful if you left a review on my business page. Your feedback helps others know what to expect and helps me continue doing what I love.

Thank you to everyone who has already left a review, recommended me to a friend, shared my posts, or booked another appointment. Your support means so much to me and my small business.

Have you ever wondered what those circular marks are that some athletes and clients have after a massage? That’s cupping therapy, a time-tested technique that uses gentle suction to lift the tissues, improve circulation, and help your body recover naturally.

🌿 Benefits of Cupping Therapy:
• Relieves muscle tension and tightness
• Increases blood circulation
• Helps reduce pain and inflammation
• Improves range of motion and flexibility
• Encourages lymphatic drainage
• May help decrease headaches and stress
• Promotes relaxation and faster recovery after workouts

💧 Before Your Cupping Session:
✔ Stay well hydrated.
✔ Eat a light meal 1–2 hours before your appointment.
✔ Avoid alcohol before your session.
✔ Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area.
✔ Let me know about any medical conditions, medications (especially blood thinners), or skin sensitivities.

🩵 After Your Session:
✔ Drink plenty of water to help flush metabolic waste.
✔ Avoid intense exercise for the rest of the day.
✔ Skip hot tubs, saunas, and very hot showers for 24 hours.
✔ The circular marks are not bruises, they’re a normal response to the suction and typically fade within several days to two weeks.
✔ Listen to your body and allow yourself time to rest if needed.

Every treatment is customized to your individual needs and comfort level. Whether you’re dealing with chronic muscle tension, recovering from physical activity, or simply looking for another way to help your body feel its best, cupping may be a great addition to your massage session.

📅 Always accepting new clients!

Your body works hard every single day and over time, stress, repetitive movements, poor posture, and basically everyday life can take a toll on us. Chiropractic care and massage therapy work together to help keep your body moving the way it was made to! While chiropractic adjustments focus on improving joint mobility and spinal alignment, massage therapy helps relax tight muscles, improve circulation and reduces muscle tension that can pull the body out of balance. Both of them used together will create a powerful combination that supports your comfort, movement and overall quality of life.

The best part is that taking care of your body doesn’t have to be complicated. Just like you schedule hair appointments, dental cleanings, or oil changes for your car, regular massage and chiropractic visits can become a simple part of your “self-care” routine. Consistency will help you stay ahead of your aches and muscle stiffness instead of waiting until you’re in pain to make that massage appointment.

Your body is with you for life. Investing a little time in maintaining it now can help you move better, feel better, recover faster, and continue doing the things you love to do. Massage isn’t a luxury, neither is chiropractic care. They’re the best investments you can make in your long-term health!

Fun Friday Fact: Your head weighs about 10–12 pounds (the weight of a bowling ball)! 🎳 When you carry a heavy purse on one shoulder, your body often compensates by shifting your posture, which can place extra stress on your neck, shoulders, and back. 👜

A backpack worn with both shoulder straps distributes weight more evenly across your body, helping reduce unnecessary strain and better support healthy posture. 🎒

A few features to look for in a (posture-friendly) backpack:

• Wide, padded shoulder straps
• Adjustable chest strap (helps distribute weight)
• Lightweight design
• A padded back panel
• Multiple compartments so weight stays centered close to your spine

Switching from a purse to a backpack worn with both shoulder straps can make a noticeable difference in how your body feels over time.

Will it fix existing pain or poor posture overnight? No. But for many people, making this switch will help lower the stress on their body and make it easier to maintain better posture! Over the weeks, this small change reduces strain in your muscles. And if you’re doing regular stretching, strengthening exercises and getting regular massage, you’ll notice a world of difference.

What is fascia?

Fascia is a thin but strong layer of connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, bones, joints, nerves, blood vessels, and organs. Think of it like a flexible web that runs throughout your entire body and helps hold everything together.

I incorporate myofascial release in almost every single massage I perform.

What Is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial release is a massage technique that focuses on the fascia (the connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, joints, and other structures throughout the body).

When fascia becomes tight or restricted from things like stress, injury, repetitive movement, poor posture, or overuse, it can contribute to stiffness, discomfort, and limited mobility.

Benefits of Myofascial Release may include:
• Reducing muscle tension and tightness
• Improving flexibility and range of motion
• Helping relieve chronic aches and discomfort
• Improving mobility and movement
• Addressing areas of restriction and “knots”
• Supporting recovery after physical activity
• Promoting relaxation and overall well-being

Unlike techniques that focus only on the muscles, myofascial release works with the connective tissue surrounding them, using slow, steady and targeted pressure to encourage restricted areas to loosen and move more freely.

If your body has been feeling tight, stiff, or restricted, myofascial release may be a great addition to your next massage session!
