Hope Wymore is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Dining Services Team!
We are looking for a Part-Time Cook. Candidates should be comfortable in a kitchen setting working with the equipment necessary to prepare, cook, serve, and clean up 3 meals a day for residents living in Assisted Living. Candidate would need to check and properly record food and equipment temperatures, track inventory, maintain sanitary conditions, report any maintenance needs, and be able to understand Materials Safety Data Sheets.
Prefer experience working in some type of kitchen setting. Must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds. Will need to follow a menu as well as a recipe.
Cook position also requires interaction with residents in our community in a positive and professional way.
Applicant would need to pass a background check for multiple State and Federal Agencies. Must be available to work some weekends.

Seeking a Full time Certified 40 hour Med Aide for the overnight shift. Responsibilities include administering medication as scheduled, making rounds throughout the facility and provide supervision, and housekeeping duties.
We are looking for someone that is reliable, self-motivated, and has the ability to prioritize and work with the people that live at Hope in a productive and positive manner.
Prefer applicant to have an active 40 Hour medication Aide License, however willing to train and work toward certification.
Shifts are 8- or 12-hour shifts, and some weekends and holidays are required.

Just a shout out!

It's always good to hear good things, so tonight I am going to take a few moments yo mention one.

We have had several tours the last couple weeks, from other ALF homes to Facility settings, to Guardians, and consultants, along with applicants.

Hope has had it share of negative talk, we know it, we own it. It's always going to be there! It's a part of society, it's easier to look at the negative things, conflicts, etc.

We are in the business of helping others. And sometimes, it doesn't always go as planned. Residents and staffing. It happens, we try to learn from our mistakes, mishaps just plain problems. Isn't that what we do? What we all do!

We work to improve our services. BUT, the biggest thing we have been focusing on is helping others find their "happy". "How can we help people find a purpose in this world we call life?" How can we help some one help them selves to be happy, especially when that happy may have been stripped from us thru a sickness in our brain.

HOPE has been going thru growing pains, residents and staff. Changes here and there. BUT, when we have a tour that results in so many compliments, and a tear of HOPE, darn right I am sharing it and I am going to give credit to where it deserves to be given---the staff and Residents of HOPE WYMORE! And I quote:

"How do you do it, you have something special here Pam, you can feel it in this home".

MY Response to her:
"It's the staff, it's the residents, it's the community, from the churches to the Fire and Rescue to the Doghouse bar, to our wonderful Superfoods and more." "We truly have a great community, and we aren't special we are just Hope! We have ups and downs, and have been thru a lot in 3.5 years."......"Some really, really stressful things."

Her response...."it's such a small community, how do you get the support?"

My response: "I guess it helps knowing we are all just a phone call away, and we treat the people that live at Hope as a community members, cause they are".

So, to all the staff and residents and The Wymore Community! Great JOB FOLKS....it's all YOU!

Thank you for your continued support even to our imperfections and mistakes we have made along the way!

Just wanted to say thank you to Josi Zito for always being so helpful, and of course for the cookies you donated. Thank you always, and thanks to Cottonwood for being so supportive during the last several months. We appreciate you all!

We have had some changes in staffing the last couple of months. We have seen some wonderful people go, to try new things, as well as some new people come to Hope. We welcome Jayden Harding, Jordan Harding, and Jon Harding. Hannah Phinney, and Allie Schrieber. We also welcome Cindy Fletcher back to Hope. We are so very happy to have these wonderful folks join our group! The staff will be assisting in Med-Aide work, Resident Assistant and in our Kitchen, working full time and part time work.

HOPE wants to take a moment and thank our wonderful nurse Dusty Duis. Dusty is kind, generous, humble, and continues to grow in her role as our Nurse.

We thank her for her willingness to look past the mental illness, the homelessness, the ever changing life, and see the person.

You are special to us and we appreciate you! Thank you for all you do!

We finally got to Gail's garden today. Had a few helpers. Trying to be a little budget friendly this year (like always), we really thank the people that donate items to be used for activities!
