"If you can predict it, you can prevent it."

If you have been listening to our recent podcast series based on Gary Scheiner's book, Think Like a Pancreas, you know that we have spent a lot of time discussing the many things to remember and consider when dealing with diabetes.

It isn't easy, but if you can predict what will happen, it makes it a lot easier to ensure that your blood sugar doesn't go completely out of whack.

If you are struggling to find the why behind your glucose swings, why not book at appointment with the knowledgeable staff at Integrated Diabetes Services. Appointments are virtual and are able to accommodate varying time zones.

Call (610) 642-6055 or go to https://integrateddiabetes.com/appointments/ to get started.

Calculating the "perfect" bolus isn't simple. You've got to understand your carbs, know your ratios, and get the timing right — and that's just the start. It's exhausting.

Jennifer Smith and Gary Scheiner get it. They both live with type 1 diabetes and on Episode 106 of Think Like a Pancreas—The Podcast, they break down Chapter 7 of Gary's book, Think Like a Pancreas, and dig into exactly what goes into that calculation.
