Loretta A. Stanulis
Loretta A. Stanulis, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, surrounded by her loving daughters, exactly as she wished.
Born on July 12, 1937, Loretta was the daughter of the late Joseph Ondish and Helen (Rynich) Ondish, both of Russian heritage. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Stanulis; her son, Thomas Ondish; her son, Michael Gerney; her grandson, Thomas "Brock" Ondish; her brother, Joseph "Sonny" Ondish; her sister, Gloria "Dolly" Musser; and her brother, Ronald "RJ" Ondish.
A 1955 graduate of Swoyersville High School, Loretta was a hardworking woman who dedicated many years to supporting her family. Throughout her career, she worked for multiple businesses including the cigar factory, sweater factory, Topps Chewing Gum, and later Eddyleon Chocolates, where she remained until retirement. She was a proud member of the Teamsters Union and the American Legion.
Above all else, Loretta's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and "Nannie" who cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
Loretta was an enthusiastic supporter of Berwick football and could often be found cheering from the stands at games. She was also a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan who rarely missed an opportunity to follow her favorite team. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping trips to Boscov's and The Bon-Ton and treasured the time she spent caring for and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Michele "Mickey" Kielar and her fiancé, Keith Fink, and Jacqueline Butsavage and her husband, Mark Butsavage. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Ronnie Kielar; Justin Butsavage and his fiancée, Madison Baillie; twin granddaughters Emily Butsavage and Katelyn Butsavage; Michael Gerney; and Daniel Gerney and his wife, Lauren. She is further survived by her daughters-in-law, Noel Gerney and Mary Rose Ondish.
Loretta will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her strong work ethic, her generous heart, and the countless memories she created with those she loved. Her kindness, devotion, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A blessing service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, 11 AM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 19, 2026, 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at Memorial Shrine Park, Wyoming, PA.
