Today, we recognize Juneteenth as both a celebration of freedom and a call to acknowledge the lasting impact of slavery and racial injustice on Black communities.
Mental health care must make room for the realities of collective grief, intergenerational pain, resilience, joy, identity, rest, and healing. For Black women especially, support should not require having to explain, minimize, or carry everything alone.
We are sharing a few resources for Black mental health, wellness, and community care. Everlasting Wellness is also here as a local resource for individuals seeking a compassionate, culturally responsive space to explore their experiences and receive support. Save this post, share it with someone who may need it, and remember: healing is not something anyone should have to navigate in isolation.
