💙 Our Activities Team Does It Again! 💙

Our amazing Activities Team, Ashley, Candice & Shayla takes extra-special care of our residents, but their kindness doesn’t stop there! They are always finding ways to lift employee morale and make even the hard days a little brighter. 🥰

This time, they showered us with goodies—delicious apple cake, cookies, and even pretty pens for us to use! 🍰🍪🖊️

Their hearts are always thinking of someone else, and that’s what makes the Holston Family so special. 💕 Thank you, Activities Team, for taking care of ALL of us! We appreciate you more than you know! 🌟

We are officially kicking off our exciting Elvis Week by celebrating all the things we love most about the legendary King of Rock and Roll! We recently reached out to our wonderful residents to ask what they admire most about him, and their heartfelt responses certainly did not disappoint. The general consensus among everyone is that his iconic music and signature dance moves remain absolute favorites. A few of us were even lucky enough to get a special sneak peek at the man himself, and we look forward to taking photos tomorrow!

🎒📚✨ BACK-TO-SCHOOL FUN WITH HOLSTON! ✨📚🎒

What a wonderful day celebrating the start of a new school year! 💜

Barb was excited to represent Holston Health & Rehabilitation and Holston Senior Living at the Back-to-School Celebration held on the track at George Wythe High School, bringing along plenty of treats and goodies for the kids while sharing information with parents and families about the services Holston provides in our community.

Students from Spiller Elementary School, Scott Memorial Middle School, and George Wythe High School all came together for this special community celebration! 🏫🎉

One of the highlights was the Back-to-School Parade, beginning with our littlest learners and continuing through each grade all the way to our high school seniors! 🎓 Seeing the students, families, teachers, and community come together with so much school spirit was a wonderful way to kick off the new school year.

And we had an extra-special moment! 💜🎒 Kimber, one of the winners of our Holston Health & Rehabilitation Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway, was there with her new backpack! We loved seeing one of our winners ready and excited for school!

From treats and Holston goodies to meeting families and cheering on the students, fun was had by everyone!

Holston is proud to support our local schools, students, and families. 💜💛

Barb and Torie had the pleasure of representing Holston Health & Rehabilitation and Holston Senior Living at the 12th Annual New River Valley Agency on Aging Care Conference, held at New River Community College.

The day offered a meaningful chance to step away from daily routines and connect with a passionate community of professionals who are all working toward the same goal—supporting older adults and caregivers throughout our region.

Throughout the event, they enjoyed connecting with Michelle from ACG Hospice, as well as Executive Director Ray Parks, Brittany Long, and Sandi Hoback from the NRV Agency on Aging. Barb also took a moment to reconnect with Rachel Talbert from Highland Ridge Rehab and visit with Kate from Southwest Virginia Legal Aid Society and Dave from EZ Mobility making the day even more rewarding through shared conversation and collaboration.

A heartfelt thank you to the New River Valley Agency on Aging for hosting such an impactful event centered on education, partnership, and strengthening caregiver support.

🎶 And they even made time for a little fun! The ladies from the Agency on Aging turned up the music and got the caregivers moving with some exercise! There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and energy in the room—a perfect reminder that taking care of our caregivers can be fun, too! 💃🎶 💜💛
