When most people think of physical therapy, they think of muscles, joints, and injuries. But sometimes the source of pain or dysfunction isn't just orthopedic.
Lately, I've been seeing an increasing number of clients with abdominal discomfort, digestive complaints, bloating, and other GI-related issues. Using Fascial Counterstrain, we're able to assess and address restrictions within the body's connective tissue system, including areas that can influence the organs and surrounding structures.
While visceral and fascial work isn't the answer for every digestive or abdominal concern, I've been encouraged by the results many clients have experienced. In some cases, addressing these restrictions has helped improve comfort, mobility, and overall function when other approaches haven't fully resolved the issue.
The body is interconnected, and sometimes the key to feeling better comes from looking beyond the obvious source of symptoms.
If you've been dealing with persistent abdominal discomfort, digestive issues, or unexplained pain and haven't found the answers you're looking for, it may be worth exploring a different perspective.
