Myth: Webster Technique is about turning breech babies.

Not quite. Webster comes up constantly when people start Googling prenatal chiropractic care, and this is the assumption we hear most. So what is it, really?

Webster is a chiropractic technique made specifically for pregnant bodies. It zeroes in on the sacrum and related soft tissues of the pelvis. When those structures get tight or cranky, it can mess with how much room baby has to stretch out and how comfortable you feel day to day.

So no, Webster is not about flipping babies into position like little pancakes. The goal is to adjust the sacrum and balance the related soft tissues so there's as much room as possible for baby to try to find their way into a good position on their own. And the more open and balanced things are heading into labor, the more room there is in the birth canal to help make the whole process a little smoother. Less tension all around means more comfort now and fewer "why does everything hurt" moments in those final months.

And here's the part we love saying: Webster is just one tool in a very full toolbox. On its own it does great work on the sacrum, but balancing the whole pelvis is where the other techniques come in, and we find the best results come from combining them based on what each body actually needs. Every pregnant body is its own beautiful puzzle, so what works perfectly for one person might be all wrong for the next. We read the room (or, you know, the pelvis) and go from there.

Quick fact that more people should know: leaking a little when you sneeze or jump after having a baby is common. But common does not mean permanent, and it does not mean you just have to live with it.

Pelvic floor dysfunction is treatable. You're allowed to bring it up. That's what we're here for. 🙌"

Feeding a newborn is hard. Like, genuinely one of the harder things a new parent navigates, and if it's not going smoothly, that is not a personal failure.

Sometimes babies are dealing with tension from the birth process. Sometimes a jaw or neck that's a little restricted makes the whole coordination of feeding feel like solving a puzzle with half the pieces flipped upside down.

A pediatric chiropractor with specific training in feeding can actually help with that. No miracle promises. Just thoughtful assessment, gentle work, and a team approach with your lactation consultant or feeding therapist.

And for the record: your feeding goals are the goals. Breast, chest, pump, formula, or combo — we support your plan, whatever it is. 💛
