Summer 2026 Blog Post "Why We Worry (And How to Worry Less)" Worry is one of the most common concerns I hear about in counseling. Whether it's health, finances, family, etc....many of us spend a surprising amount of time mentally rehearsing problems that haven't happened. Click link to read more:

One of my favorite grounding exercises doesn't require any special tools. Step outside and find:

• 1 thing moving
• 1 thing growing
• 1 thing making a sound

It's a simple way to reconnect with the present moment when life feels busy or overwhelming.

Today is Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, contributions, and history of Black Americans.

Juneteenth is an opportunity to pause, learn, reflect, and recognize that freedom, dignity, and belonging matter not only in our communities, but in our relationships with one another.

Wishing everyone a day of reflection, learning, and hope❣️

Pride Month is a reminder that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Feeling accepted and safe isn't a luxury, it's deeply connected to mental health and well-being.

I believe people do better when they have spaces where they can show up as themselves❣️🌈

A simple anxiety tip:
When your mind starts racing into the future, gently ask yourself:
"What do I actually know right now?"

Anxiety often fills in the blanks with worst-case scenarios. Facts can help bring us back to solid ground.

June is Men's Mental Health Month.

Many men grow up receiving messages that they should handle everything on their own. But carrying stress, grief, anxiety, or depression in silence can be exhausting.

Strength isn't the absence of struggle. Sometimes strength looks like talking about what's hard❣️

I've noticed that when I spend less time scrolling, I spend more time noticing.

The birds outside my window.
A conversation.
A good book.
My own thoughts.

Sometimes protecting your peace isn't about adding something new. It's about creating a little more space for what already matters.

- Preparing financially for your future

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers

Real growth tends to happen when we stop fighting ourselves and start listening with curiosity instead.
