The funeral service ideals in place since 1896 have now been passed to the 5th generation of the Farenga family. Sal Anthony, along with his brother Nicholas, seek to follow the family tradition of caring, and above all, listening to the needs and desires of families the Farenga’s serve. In 2004, the Farenga service extended to the Woodlawn and McLean Heights communities. Sal and Nick continue to implement the Farenga philosophy that has guided the services we have provided for over 125 years.

Kindness has a way of making even the hardest days feel a little lighter.

Inspired by the legacy of Mr. Rogers and the meaning behind “1-4-3,” meaning “I love you,” we’re reminded that simple acts of compassion can leave a lasting impact. In funeral service, caring for families and our community is at the heart of everything we do.

What makes this even more special is the friendships shared among funeral directors across the state of Pennsylvania. Even in different towns and communities, there is a deep connection built on compassion, support, and a shared calling to care for others during life’s hardest moments.
