This crisp autumn weather has us reminiscing about a fun fall trip we took to the Bronx Zoo last October! šŸ¦­šŸ’šŸ¦ššŸÆšŸ¦–

Our Therapeutic Recreation team planned the outing for residents who spent the day getting an up-close look at wildlife throughout the park and even stepped back in time at a dinosaur exhibit.

Safe to say, this outing was a ā€œroarā€-ing good time for all!

For Rachel Amar and her son, Max, our future young adult center represents an exciting next chapter.

In 2006, Max was the first ventilator-dependent child admitted to pioneering long-term ventilator care program - the first in New York State. And when our future young adult center opens, heā€™ll be among the inaugural young adults making this space their new home.

This , weā€™re recognizing the dedicated physical therapists across our family of organizations who work with our children and young adults to help build their strength, increase their mobility and foster greater independence.

Our PTs tailor therapy to each childā€™s individual goals and interests, whether that means mastering a new movement or finding different ways to navigate their environment. Their work opens up more opportunities for our young people to participate in the activities they enjoy and gain confidence in their abilities.
