What a “tee-rific” day at ! ⛳

Thanks to the generosity of the Rose Elizabeth Foundation, our Yonkers campus was transformed into a mini golf course for a special day of fun in the sun! Our children and young adults had the chance to play a round right here at home, sharing lots of laughs, smiles and a little friendly competition along the way.

We’re so grateful to the Elizabeth Rose Foundation for hosting this fantastic event and helping to create such a memorable experience for our residents.

At our White Plains campus, teams from and were treated last week to an Italian café-themed staff appreciation lunch courtesy of our school’s Parents Association! 🍕

Our staff is the “secret sauce” that makes such a special place and moments like these offer a wonderful opportunity to come together with families and share our appreciation for all they do.

With a live musical accompaniment, our children and young adults explored the movement and emotion that bring ballet to life.

Congratulations to Stephanie, resident and our International Spokesperson and Volunteer, for receiving the Carl S. Young Consumer Advocacy Award from LeadingAge New York! ⭐

Stephanie has become a powerful voice for children and young adults living with medical complexity. By sharing her lived experience with policymakers, supporters and the public at large, she helps illustrate why innovative long-term care solutions, like future young adult center, are urgently needed.

Through her courage, faith and willingness to speak up for others, Stephanie truly embodies the spirit of this award. She reminds all of us that advocacy is not defined by title or position; it is driven by heart, determination and the courage to ensure that no child or young adult is left behind.

For nearly two decades, Dr. Kraus has provided exceptional, compassionate care to children and young adults with some of the most complex medical conditions imaginable. In celebration, we recognize the incredible speech language pathologists from across our family of organizations who support our residents, students and patients with their speech, language and feeding abilities.

Using language-directed play, individualized therapies, sign language, augmentative and alternative communication devices and other innovative approaches, these dedicated professionals help our children and young adults strengthen their communication skills, build confidence and engage more fully with the world around them.

Thank you to our amazing SLPs for the expertise, compassion and creativity you bring to every interaction and every breakthrough - big or small. We are so grateful for all that you do!

Talk about a bubble blast! 🫧

Our residents at were all smiles when Bubble Bus rolled onto campus recently. With bubbles aplenty and high-energy music, the afternoon felt like pure magic!

Many thanks to our wonderful volunteers from the KM - Westchester, NY Order of Malta and Order of Malta - Connecticut, Southwest Area who helped make the event memorable for our children, young adults and their families!
